can, i'm still using huawei onu. re-setup very time-consuming.
And I'm using my own asus router ax-55 working fine.

if lets say the ONU spoilt , and since the new ONU not yet setup, cannot use to replace on the spot right ?

or ONU no need to setup one , only need to setup router right ?

so if old ONU spoilt , can just plug in new ONU to continue to use .

both devices are brand new, require setup, if you want to use it, not just plug and play.

oh. then better setup ONU ... at least still have 1 spare unit in case spoilt....

Previously I got AX72 as main router..And recent Unifi SWU 3.0 free Dlink AX3000 to setup as main and mesh router....If I getting AX53 as mesh to pair with AX72 main....Will it better than Dlink combination? If no, I may consider to sell off my AX72

To all sifus here. I have upgraded from 800mbps to 1gbps unifi plan. I tried to use my Huawei modem with my Asus zenwifi xt8 router/mesh to connect but failed to do so. No Internet connection.
I have 2 units of asus xt8. Tried both. Failed to connect. Router showed red color.
Changed modem as well. Didn't work. Router still showed red color. Do anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

Are you not using the D-Link ONR that came with Ultra plans?

what equipment do you currently have

if you are currently on the dlink all in one, you're out of luck, you're stuck with that piece of junk

if you are using a huawei modem, should be able to setup pppoe as usual on the asus

you cannot replace the modem by yourself (such as dlink to huawei), there is authentication stuff that tm will refuse to help you on

Try to see if you have set the PPPoE username and password correctly. If you have, check the VLAN settings and see if you have tagged the VLAN correctly / set it to Unifi (VLAN 500). Check here: https://www.blacktubi.com/guide/setup-asus-router-for-unifi/

arent TM will send technician to setup ? u skipped that part ?
