Actually this PowerToys is there for Windows 10 as well. Just now it finally appear at Windows Store instead from Github only.


This depends, some people is very saving and don't fall into everything must new.

Also if the person never try the new one, they also had no idea how big changes especially performance on new device.
Due to this, it is very ok to them and won't feel got performance issue.

This is not the case for us as we already falling into always want new thing and flying performance.

I no idea how I resist, I almost change phone every 2 or 3 years, but then when comes to computer (either laptop or desktop), don't even change any parts at all
Mostly just add RAM or SSD only

Although iPhone 13 Pro looks good (due to 120hz), but I tell myself I need replace my Xs to Android phone next year, don't wanna hold 2 iPhone anymore
At the moment wait for Alder Lake to replace my whole desktop
Else gonna buy a GPU 1st (bad pricing also need to buy as force to play newer game in low setting)
Other than that still rocking

But Mobile Phone, I already use 40 mobile phones.

As PC can last longer compare to mobile phone, from non smartphone to smartphone, then 4G, 5G, singles lens to more and more lens

Ya agreed on the mobile part but now I am slowing down already as New mobile is freaking fast and they all had no idea what to included anymore. Too little change to keep changing already.

Off course desktop better, as now working already, as desktop performance better than laptop all the time, except portability

As for mobile, it grow up too fast compare to computer, nowadays smartphone less "wow" from me

Not surprising at all. Windows 8, 8.1, 10 and 11 was the same. Smartphone and tablet compatible.

I wonder how much snappier Windows 11 is when compared to 10

So far it is smoother than Windows 10 for me.
A bit more feature rich.

I have been running Windows 11 in a VM - the OS works fine and stable (for a VM that is), but functionality seems to have taken a step back IMHO (quite a lot of useful features have been taken out compared to Windows 10)

Disappointing when you consider that there's plenty to like about the OS itself

Those take out is only the Taskbar features. The Taskbar I only wish future can move to top or side, other like drag to Taskbar I never use and don't care so much. Beside this Taskbar thing, I don't see others reduce functionality compare with Windows 10.

But instead it is added better feature in Microsoft Photo, Snipping Tools, and future Paint which not release yet but Microsoft already showing demo on it. I believe more features will added on for Windows 11 bundle apps but it is no going to release for Windows 10 anymore.

Also File Explorer and Context Menu is much cleaner and not crowded, this is better and handy to use.

Auto HDR in gaming is work for some SDR games make it pop, not all type of SDR games but no worried as anytime you can turn off for SDR games that not work properly. Beside gaming, HDR is working much much better in Windows 11.

Lastly the open apps is always stick to position, this is very useful for multi monitor. The nightmare of open apps won't stick to it position and open size is finally fixed.

Windows 11 simply great and I definitely won't go back to Windows 10 anymore.

I'm somewhat miffed by Microsoft decision to nerf the right clicking functionality of the OS along with some functionality regressions (especially the taskbar right click menus and the context menus in some parts of the OS)
It's also quite disappointing that Microsoft decided to ship the OS with a good chunk of the advertised features being unavailable on launch (specifically the Android app support) - it feels like Microsoft just rushed the OS in some ways or another to capitalize on the holiday buying season, and it's quite inappropriate as well due to the circumstances we are on right now (the severe chip shortage is one of them). The miscommunication about the hardware requirements is going to leave a bad taste on a lot of PC users mouth

The OS is fine (it's actually good if Microsoft didn't nerf the usability of the OS itself), but the way how Microsoft handled the communications and launch seems to give me Windows 8 flashbacks

That's pretty nice to say the least, and I hope that monitor makers can finally put out some well priced monitors with decent HDR capabilities (the good ones are either ridiculously expensive, or simply plagued with copious QC issues)
HDR is a reason why I sometimes play on consoles despite having a gaming PC myself

I have a feeling that they are going to u-turn on this sooner or later because slow adoption of the OS itself is going to lead to media painting the OS in a bad light (see Vista and 8 for starters)

Forcing people to upgrade or even buying new hardware just to upgrade to the latest version of Windows is going to be a PR nightmare for Microsoft as well because:

1. it exacerbates the already severe chip shortage
2. it goes against Microsoft (and other tech companies) 'sustainability' charter
3. its going to force PC enthusiast to stay on Windows 10, or even Linux (note that Linux is starting to become a very viable platform for desktops, and PC enthusiasts are quite vocal)
