Basically Microsoft continue for new version for all that said plan to scrap.

Beside Paint, Snipping Tool also said will replace with Snip & Sketch but end up Snip & Sketch is the one get scrap now and Snipping Tool continue.

I don't like Snip & Sketch, thanks it remain the Snipping Tool with Sketch function later after snap.

For paint, why hate it? The new one is same as old one but just better look and same language with Windows 11, I do hope they put dark mode for it, too bad it only have white mode.

Yup, that's the release date, and I think you should be able to update with a Windows 10 key (might be even possible to activate with a Windows 7/8.1 key, just like Windows 10)

Maybe yes maybe no, when talk security concern, enterprise will accept current condition talk. Even not they is always a special agreement can be sign for Enterprise which allow special security update treatment support for EOL system.

IINM companies can buy ESU updates, but I think it needs Volume Licensing and it's meant for large businesses, governments and schools that need to run some kind of specialized software or some sort

That article is talking on Enterprise and I believe Enterprise normally will use Volume Licensing, due to big quantities, it is actually the most value for Enterprise adapt to Volume Licensing.

New not means it is support if what you bought don't have TPM 2.0, Safe boot, UEFI and etc. or have but did not turn on.

Get the tools and check whether it is support or not.

You will received the update from Windows 10 Windows Update. Setup now or later doesn't matter.
ISO will provide if plan for Clean Install. Sometimes it is better just go for update to reduce hassle on finding driver.
