QUOTE(jagadis @ Sep 30 2021, 09:24 AM) Thank god for this. Hate the new paint and snip & sketch I don't like Snip & Sketch, thanks it remain the Snipping Tool with Sketch function later after snap. For paint, why hate it? The new one is same as old one but just better look and same language with Windows 11, I do hope they put dark mode for it, too bad it only have white mode.

I think mod need to create a subforum for Windows 11 for the incoming release date. Btw is 5th Oct going to be a release for official version? I am not subscribed to Beta channel though, just want to install it clean. I think Windows 10 key will be suffice?

Yup, that's the release date, and I think you should be able to update with a Windows 10 key (might be even possible to activate with a Windows 7/8.1 key, just like Windows 10)

I have a feeling Microsoft may backtrack from their system requirements, because of the enterprise market: https://www.windowscentral.com/windows-11-m...wed-says-report

Those who want a better functioning taskbar and start menu should get Start11/StartIsBack (there might be free options from OpenShell, aka forked Classic Shell)

Even not they is always a special agreement can be sign for Enterprise which allow special security update treatment support for EOL system. IINM companies can buy ESU updates, but I think it needs Volume Licensing and it's meant for large businesses, governments and schools that need to run some kind of specialized software or some sort

QUOTE(X1X1 @ Oct 3 2021, 12:50 PM) so it coming out very soon ? cause i just get my new pc, if coming soon, i don't configure current setup yet. It is out on 5 Oct 2021 (US time), here probably around 6 Oct 2021. https://blogs.windows.com/windowsexperience...e-on-october-5/New not means it is support if what you bought don't have TPM 2.0, Safe boot, UEFI and etc. or have but did not turn on. Get the tools and check whether it is support or not. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/get-windows-11You will received the update from Windows 10 Windows Update. Setup now or later doesn't matter. ISO will provide if plan for Clean Install. Sometimes it is better just go for update to reduce hassle on finding driver.
