QUOTE(OlgaC4 @ Dec 8 2022, 12:17 PM) Something is wrong some where. Better open and replace the termal and triple check the fan direction. I have triple checked, confirm is correct direction. For thermal, maybe I need to get another better thermal paste? QUOTE(xxboxx @ Dec 8 2022, 12:46 PM) Its ASUS-Z790 Board QUOTE(TristanX @ Dec 8 2022, 02:38 PM) Thats 12900K in disguise. Is your cooler good enough? My Corsair H150i Elite Capellix can get 90+C when I push it. It is normal. My CPU Cooler is Be Quiet Dark Rock Pro 4. I have attached the result of the HWMonitor. Hopefully can help By the way dont ask me where is my graphic card. I'm actually waiting AMD 7900XTX . Can you check the middle fan spinning or in the right direction?
Sometimes they can mess up. Open and reapply the thermal paste.
What program you running?
If still cannot must ask sifu asus to help aka cstkl1

QUOTE(Jet23sky @ Dec 8 2022, 10:19 AM) I did some video converting task and run HWmonitor, found out that CPU temperature hit 90 Degrees. (some core reach 100 occasionally). I think this is not good for the system please correct me if I'm wrong. The processor load for E core is almost 100% but P core is still like less than 30% load. Sound about right after watching a few Youtube review of the i7-13700K According to Intel's spec it turbo up to 253W with Tjunction of 100C, I will run at those temp if I were you to max out whatever cooler you have there. That part about P core running at 30% while hitting 100C, not so sure about it. Weird to see 30% load on the CPU, at 5.4GHz 220W... I don't own an Intel 13-gen to really understand its behavior. QUOTE(TristanX @ Dec 8 2022, 08:06 PM) Yes. Undervolt will help as well. Thanks. I did undervolt to 0.080V. Now temperature is much pleasant compared with the first one i posted. I guess I will just stay as it is, as I don't think I will get this kind of temperature during gaming. More or less is during the video compressing. Initially I was thinking of getting AIO cooler, but I seriously want to have a hassle-less setup without so much of worrying in the future. That's why I still prefer air cooler. But then, it seems like nowadays, air cooler is slowly cannot catch up the amount of heat that the new CPU dissipate. ' Anyway, thanks everyone for the help. Next thing I will OC my DDR5 ram and hopefully can play around 7900xtx OC next week. Cheers!

Why didn't use intel quicksync for the encoding, unless you're doing AV1 encodes?

does windows update eg win 11 22h2 causing blank screen or overclock issue? overclock i mean here ddr ram / xmp.
my display screen goes blank, and cpu still got sound .. remove all driver ddu, removed gpu riser cable, all default setting, direct slot.. msi afterburner default, nvidia also but same issue.
solution i found that increase my ddr to 1.37v .. a bit .. and no issue since.

I experience before with overclocked RAM on AMD system. Everything already setting nicely and memory test no error, then after Windows update memory test full of error. Sometimes after update it's the opposite, system more stable and can push higher speed. Voltage also affected after update, sometimes need more voltage, sometimes reduce voltage also still no memory error.

Was thinking of upgrading from my r5 3600 next year. All non K 13th gen will be alderlake. If upgrading next year better just wait for another 9-10 months for 14th gen unless you cannot tahan AMD's shit any longer.

Mainly wondering if I can get more perform out of my GPU if I upgrade CPU Well if it's 3600, even an older intel 9600K can get more gaming performance out of the GPU... so anything is an upgrade but for now, best just hold on till 14th gen or throw in a stop-gap with 5600x if desperate.
