probably we in same spec. 11700, z590 board, 16 gb ram.

while try running benchmark, change

computer properties - performance - adjust for best performance
power option  - ultimate performance

on fresh windows installed.
emmm what more.. close all other apps which running maybe..
yes, as all sifoo here suggest change power limit.. good cooler help..

Very nice Intel CPU for the office, no GPU needed. More than enough CPU power for the next decade lol.

Actually I m not happy with 3300x has better score in some categories.

So I have made changes to the memory timing.

Latest Geekbench 5

https://browser.geekbench.com/v5/cpu/7568130

I will test PCMark 10 later, to see if the score improve.. hmm.gif

another review by techpowerup
https://www.techpowerup.com/review/intel-core-i7-11700kf/
complaining of many bios bugs. using bios 610 on M13H
since launch date, there's several revision to the beta bios if the reviewer CARE to ask for the latest. I m doubting the quality of the review and also earlier reviews on 11900k

i see more 10700F and 11700 used as office PC on pcpartpicker / office prebuilts / unraid server, either go i7 or i3 haha. but can't compare because their 10th gen heavily discounted 10700 at $270 and 10850k at $350.

With 10400F, it's running too cold anyways haha. Since such a cheap upgrade, might as well. i will wait for a better bios on z490 first before going for 11th gen 11700K.

At stock, unlimited powaaaa is 87C hahaha not too bad. Around 5c hotter than 3600 with the same case and 120aio. Guess i'll be focusing on the ram instead. shall wait for 240 aio only consider ocing the multiplier.

Now still very unstable cuz i just simply loaded the same ram setting from my previous 10400F. But looks like i just dapao gamernexus's 5950x@4.7 benchmark in F1 hmm.gif

for gaming wise, try disable hyper threading for more stable all single core turbo boost performance; lower latency, lower temp and lower power draw for multi core performance.

hyper threading is good when workloads that saturate all cores of the CPU like video rendering. if the game doesn't even use up all the physical cores, why bother to scheduling more threads on the same physical core.

of course turn off hyper threading will impact benchmark score for multi core performance.

Stability as in havent start tuning haha, only using saved settings that was stable for the 10400F. Now swapped cpu, everything gone haywire, especially the auto values. Stable enough to run games but will crash in prime and memtest. Right now have to start from scratch huhu.
