but now 10700F is RM1009. it does make one very itchy to go for that instead. with 4.8ghz and 2 more cores... and similar 65w tdp drool.gif it might slap 5600x even in productivity while costing RM400 cheaper.

I held back my temptation with rocketlake lol.

wah where to find that price? can only buy 3600 at 999. no brainer if pair with b560 later.

see see market; B560M

Asrock Steel Legend - Rm570 - power manage no go
Gigabyte UD - Rm570 - power manage no go
Aorus Elite - Rm650
Aorus Pro Rm740

Good B board also near price Z590-A Msi price lorrrr..

dont see Z series from Aorus or Asus.. Rm1.2k ready..

MSI B560 still not in too? their B460 had the best power unlimit last gen for B boards, good for i7. but B560 this time all using older Realtek audio doh.gif

also no 11700f yet, C-zone's 11700 RM1439 but only for system bundles, same with their RM650 for 11400f.. but still cheaper than Ryzen 3600, really nice for budget builds.

hmm iGPU indeed quite useful in these times.

what RAM kit do you get cawan?

The Realtek ALC4080 on the new Intel boards demystified and the differences to the ALC1220

TLDR:
Anyway...
ASUS TUF B460 Plus > B560 : Realtek S1200A > ALC897

ASRock B460 Steel Legend > B560 : Realtek ALC1200 > ALC897

MSI B460 Tomahawk > B560 : Realtek ALC1200 > ALC897

Gigabyte B460 AORUS Pro > B560 : Realtek ALC1220 > ALC4080

nice info. yeah they cut corners audio for most B560 and some lower Z590 i guess, when B460/B550 mostly already was ALC1200/ALC1220P, improvement from ALC897 on B450. the more costly B560 also does not make sense since price is quite close to cheapest decent Z590.

Z590/B560 list: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1_ZG...t#gid=262608602

i am still using old x-fi Titanium so unless it breaks then only forced to use onboard.

does the Z590 OC memory better than b560? i wonder what is the sweet spot kit for RKL, like 3600 CL16 is for RYzen.

Very nice Intel CPU for the office, no GPU needed. More than enough CPU power for the next decade lol.

i see more 10700F and 11700 used as office PC on pcpartpicker / office prebuilts / unraid server, either go i7 or i3 haha. but can't compare because their 10th gen heavily discounted 10700 at $270 and 10850k at $350.

Wow nice!   rclxms.gif

But how come I can't find B560 boards in Lazada. Can't check the price.
I checked Idealtech, the price is around RM600 to RM900. If close to 900 then I top up to 200 to get Z590  icon_idea.gif

By the way, do you know how far is 11700F against 11900K on gaming performance?
Hahaha wait, I got it wrong, I mean 5800x did 15k, not 5600x  doh.gif

Can F series do all core boost to max? That's the TDP adjustment right?
*
yeah if the price is too close to RM800 then better to just get Z590-A Pro. cheapest would be B560 Pro4, B560M Steel Legend / Aorus Elite mid, Aorus Pro AX / TUF / Mortar for wifi.

ASrock seems to have capped limit but still able to hold boost according to the video below, thought they never test with Blender, it's only the ITX version that seems to 'held back' a little when tested with Blender benchmark, not sure why.

there's fewer B560 ATX boards this time, B560 has less PCIE lanes than B460 anyway. most stock are mATX, Shopee has a lot, but some need to bundle CPU.

wah hackintosh!

btw i noticed XMP auto set my VCCSA to 1.316-1.368V max, is that safe for Rocket Lake daily usage or should be lowered?

thanks, it is just locked 11400 on B560.. so i did not change vcore/cpu vccio.

i tried with VCCSA to 1.28V and it still goes from 1.260 to 1.356, but now slightly lower averages at 1.298.

then i tried OCCT and it ran memory tests SSE/AVX without error, CPU Large Extreme AVX is also fine, but AVX2 error as soon as started. i don't think a slight change in VCCSA caused it?

strangely intel XTU test with AVX2 ticked ran no issue, and Handbrake encode H.265 also no issue. do i need to worry about OCCT AVX2?
