I have replaced the Intel stock cooler, now completed CB R20 at 71c, max 115w

Idle temp is around 34c.

is that the highest after power unlock? iinm it can go like 130-150watts right, or 115w is what it uses. cinebench is using avx load too right?

I set the power limit to 125w, but in the case of running CB R20, it never exceed 115w. All cores at 4.2GHz all the time.

I think the score is as expected.. hmm.gif

130-150W is with prime95. R20 is not that taxing.

Anyways found out about this thing called PPD in powerdown settings.... setting to 0 gave alot of latency reduction. Wonder if it's ok to leave it off.

wow 115w is very easy to cool even with cheap aftermarket coolers.

oh i just remembered my cinebench r15 uses 15% less power compared when i'm running blender render with 64x64 tile size

The only similar ring ratio setting in my bios is Enabled or Disabled option.

It's this one... or is it disabled unless it's a z board :hmmm:

my 10400F is capped at x40. increasing it will help bandwidth and latency on aida and gaming by a very significant amount. now thinking to upgrade to 10600 or 10700K hmm.gif

got the "K" for overclocking.. dont wanna waste a z board lolol, and 10600K is technically still faster than 11400F (and more expensive of course)

and I still dont see any one using 11th gen on a z490 yet... not sure about compatibility... dont wanna be a guinea pig anymore like I was with ryzen.

As it stands right now, Gen10 offers the most bang for buck as a pure gaming machine, so that's not a bad option.

Benchmarks 11400F > 10600K. But gaming 10600K > 11400F. Especially 10600K can OC sommore.

Are they any Z590 or even B560 ITX boards with smaller heat-sink like on these budget Z590 boards. They aren't overbuilt like on the more expensive Z590 and without active cooling, yet their performs quite okay even with the i7-11900k OC to 4.9
