If I would like to purchase ILP (medical + protection) from eTiqa, do I need an agent? Or this can be done via the eTiqa portal itself?

Thanks for the prompt response. I will contact them.

Just a side note, I am tired of the Allianz Customer support. Even a simple thing like fund switching, for 3 weeks they had not responded to me. So I am considering to surrender my policy which I had held for many years. I knew we can use BNM or etc to counter, but this is not what I am expecting from an Insurance company.

hi guan teik , actually fastest way is thru agent submit via e-submission & follow up. Is the servicing agent still around ?

Same goes with prudential , submitting request thru official email took few weeks just to switch funds , sometimes even lost track.
where as submitted by agent thru a backend system , and follow up with administration only took few days for funds switching.

if not mistaken , plan offered for direct purchase vs purchase from agent is different. you may need to call their customer service to find out.
1. purchasing thru agent mainly you can liase with agent for future matter [ claim , enquiry , endorsement... agent quality plays an important roles here ]
2. purchasing directly , everything you need to go thru hq customer service [ how fast is etiqa hq response plays a important roles here ]

No matter how much you dont like the insurer, it is always better not to surrender the policy.

Ah any rational behind? What if their process is so screwed until any claims also not possible / delayed as long as they can?

Dear All,
My existing medical insurance doesn't cover pandemic that requires quarantine, meaning Covid is not covered.

I'm looking to by a standalone coverage so that I'm covered in case kena hospitalised.

One PRU agent I checked with told me their Covid-approved policy I'm interested in
1) doesn't pay anything if usage of "Oxygen" is not required. I think she was trying to mean ventilator. Is this an acceptable risk? I mean, the hospital bills only balloon when one is in ICU and ICU stay for Covid patients means automatically requires "oxygen".. am I right?
2) requires me to pay first, then claim. Is this normal practice, since the bill can spiral out of control easily?

Any other recommendations? Preferably one that doesn't require checkups as I try to avoid doing that due to Covid situation.
TQVM in advance.

Check up depends if you have any pre existing illness or irregular health at the moment.

It'll be on Reimbursement basis. Depending on the category of covid that you're in.

Cheers.

As long as is legit, insurers will always honor the claims.

Thanks! Obviously we are referring to legit claims. Have you been able to read the news of GE recently rejecting legit claims?

I don't think there are people that so naïve nowadays, usually is either agents intentionally misleading, or policyholders intentionally withhold information.

Googled and found this.... Just not sure if that is applicable to your needs...

AIA OFFERS INSURANCE BENEFITS FOR MENTAL HEALTH
04 July 2019
https://www.aia.com.my/en/about-aia/media-c...tal-health.html

while you read that article,....see the amount of benefits it gives to mental illness,....and also the type of it....
hmm.gif even for an ILP...the coverage amount is "little" ?? hmm.gif

but do take note of this,...if you ONLY wanted NON ILP....the below posts will save your time from reading that article....
