Check up depends if you have any pre existing illness or irregular health at the moment.

It'll be on Reimbursement basis. Depending on the category of covid that you're in.

Cheers.

I recently purchased AIA insurance (Life+medical). I didn't receive a medical card. Insurance agents told me it's incorporated in my identification card. Just want to verify is this true?

according to this site....

"Why is AIA no longer issuing physical medical cards to customers?
· With the launch of our new My AIA app on 3 August 2020, e-medical card has been made available to all our Individual Life, Family Takaful and Personal Accident customers.

· Effective 1 October 2020, AIA will no longer issue any physical medical cards or replacement of physical medical cards for all policies/certificates as well as for medical riders to existing policies/certificates.

· You no longer have to present your physical medical card when seeking any medical treatment.

· You are now able to view and access your e-medical card anywhere, anytime via the My AIA app.

· You can download the My AIA app and access your e-medical card after successfully logging in."

Is this a permanent discontinuation?
· Yes. Effective 1 October 2020, AIA will no longer issue any physical medical cards or replacement of physical medical cards. You are encouraged to download the My AIA app to access your e-medical card.

If faced with an emergency and you have not downloaded the My AIA App, your identity card (NRIC) / passport is also accepted.

Yes, you won't be getting any physical card.

You can download the My AIA app and access your e-medical card from there.

Your Life Planner should have assisted in downloading and explaning the functions of myAIA app.
If for any reason you didn't download, you can produce your IC to the hospital to make verification.

Your best and first option is to try to re-instate the policy if at all possible. If it has just lapse, then revival is very possible just by paying the outstanding premium without the need for medical underwriting.

Do contact your insurer urgently if that option is still open.

There is no way to "Fixed" your insurance premium if that is your main intention for asking those questions.
With such condition and advanced age, chances are the insurance company would like to perform a check to confirm her current health status.

However, if you wish to try,  I do have some under my disposal.

Hi yes I'd like to give it a shot. What do you mean by under your disposal btw? Can you pm me your number?

Are you looking into just "COVID" specific coverage or an overall ?

It also depends on your budget and what other coverage that you're looking to add-on within the policy or you're just looking into just medical benefit alone.

Correct me if I'm wrong regarding hospitalisation claims process,

We are suppose to get a Guarantee Letter from our company and pass to our hospital, then the hospital will liaise with the insurance company?

In the case of emergency, what happens if we had been hospitalised, will we be required to pay the bills upfront?or we skip the GL part and provide medical card only?

All insurance companies required GL?

hi Kaka23, what is the current payment frequency for your policy? usually it follows your current payment frequency, if you are paying yearly, then that amount should be a yearly topup, if half yearly, will be half-yearly top up and vice versa.
