Know for a fact that some sony centres opened PO way before the announcement. Thats why the number of units offered during line-up might seem odd

I told everyone here that sony lowyat was taking in pre-orders before. And a friend managed to get his unit without lining up

That may be firmware fixable.

But certain things, like coil whine cannot.
Here's an example of the dumb things Sony didn't contract whoever their PSU OEM was to do:

user posted image

Not even basic hot glue on the copper coils? They're basically naked and under high loads (which will be common), will vibrate so much and you'll hear that dreaded buzzing/whining. EVERY PS5 will suffer with coil whine, until they do something about it. This can't be fixed with a firmware. Then on to the noise the chokes for the APU which will also whine.

I think there are 2 things you may need to take note before going into panic mode.
If you are looking into a troubleshooting thread, sure 100% of the post there are talking about PS5 failure in certain of extend.
Secondly, it's a new launch, every post even in reddit will mainly talk about issues and faulty, but we will not know how many % of them face such issues, probably just minority.

yes, we need to be caution at time, but there're always the risk to take when purchasing the first batch and one should understand this before they PO.

So many speculations on this thread, most of which all based on guessing. Sorry to say, but you guys don't know what the fuck you're talking about. Be in this industry for a while and you'll understand what you see on the surface is the total opposite of what's happening underneath it.

Now, for more important issues, if you guys got so much time to argue about legal matters and pre-orders, read more on the issues of the PS5 instead - https://www.resetera.com/threads/ps5-troubl...-thread.324889/

Holy sss.. I read that. It seems that PS5 really having trouble. There’s like dozens of the issues.

Few problems, I can understand. Now is like dozens. Cincai kena one or two also very disappointed while playing.

I'm not in panic mode, I read the problems because I like digging into flaws to expose the hardware. Indeed, the people with problems are the people who are the loudest.
As it stands, the issues are of course still a minority but I'm not talking about the number of issues, I'm looking deeper than that.

Let's take an example, the people having forced database rebuilds all stem from one particular game: Call of Duty Cold War. So the question is, why? Not how many is facing the issue. Why is CODCW only causing this issue and not any other PS5 game?

If you actually did read the thread and many of the reddit threads, you'll notice that the complaints are all very similar to one another - they are consistent. This goes the same for other issues as well.

Apparently putting the console to rest mode with Miles Morales also causes that rebuild issue.

Hi, anybody have any recommendations for a 32in 4k monitor ?

Now, before I kena blasted for why want buy 32in monitor is that I game exclusively on my computer table (PC, switch, ps4) . It's a pretty large table but putting a 40inch on it would be .. weird and too close for me.

Originally, was going to aim for a 32in 1440p, but since Sony not supporting it, I don't want to have to upscale 1080p to 1440p..

So, any suggestions?

Still yet to receive any emails from Sony. Today try call up Sony Subang Jaya whole day but no one bother to pick up phone calls doh.gif

Sometimes their phone is engaged, hence showing they use the phone but don’t answer any incoming calls. mad.gif

Folks, guess what, another update from my friend, regarding the "glitch" he experienced with the online PO.

12/11 - My friend received a call saying his order did not go through though payment made, so he being offered either 1) refund or 2) put into waiting list of 2nd batch (guarantee dapat!! though no tentative date when 2nd batch will be coming)

13/11 - Received email from Sony on the same topic, being asked either to pick option 1 or 2. My friend replied with option 2 the same day.

16/11 - Received this reply:
QUOTE
