I don’t think sony will do anything. No reason for them to take action. Firstly, no help in increasing their sales. Secondly, people will still buy their products with their high reputation now. Lastly, the buyers are willing to buy from scalpers.

Exactly. I just lazy to go out que for hours or check online which place got stock and repeat the same thing. So I don't mind if they put us to second batch.

The guy from FB, Charles. One thing I noticed different was he never receive the PO confirmation email. while most of us here did I believe. At least I did receive the PO confirmation and also from the sony store website has confirmed that my account has one item purchased.

I think DMC 5 just up to 120fps.

Now barely can make 4k native 60fps with ray tracing. I would be just happy with 1440p60fps without ray tracing or 1080p/60fps with ray tracing.

So far what I’ve read was they call up to inform pre order failed only. I haven’t seen any post that they call up to congrats your secure pre order.
And lastly they’ll send them email about refund for system pre order failure.
Hope it’s not for all the cases for sony store pre order online

As long as I still see both preorder confirmation from email and website account, I’m good. I don’t mind they delay it. As far as I know, those who have received call and “acknowledged” their cancellation, next they receive email for refund which is not about putting your order to second batch. This could be their SOP.

Next you can negotiate again for second batch or refund. After refund then maybe look somewhere else. I’m just guessing. I never wanna experience the hassle of walk in PO.

I think sony can prepare better. Selling just 90% of the stock but keep 10% for any emergency like faulty replacement or wrong ordering and so on.

But I believe their priority is sales still. Reputation isn’t much threat to them.
