What did you use to disable your swap? Did you use this?
CODE
nvram boot-args="vm_compressor=2"

*
vm_compressor=2

yes something like this. not entirely sure it really works or not. to set this required to disable sip. if u reenable sip the setting will go back default value

I used to do it but this time decided to leave it alone since my workload is unlikely to kill the SSD in my machine's lifetime.

Hi, if I order a macbook air from apple store malaysia which is shipped from overseas and if repair is needed and product is under warranty, can I go to Switch or Machines?

Yes, you can. Not just Switch or Machines, any Apple authorised svc ctr in the world also can.

So I ordered MacBook Air M1 from apple store Malaysia. Courier service is DHL and after I did the tracking, seems it is stuck at Subang Airport. So I called DHL to know how long it will usually take for clearance and the customer services said that I need to apply for import license/sirim for the clearance. Huh? Why on earth I have to do that? I bought it from official apple store Malaysia and I was not aware that I have to do this on my own. If I didn’t call to check with DHL, I would never know.

Is this true? Anyone experienced this before?

Special case?
I always bought from Apple Online Store. Normally it will be delivered to me on the same day if it reached Subang airport before 4PM. Next morning if it passed 4PM.
They have the custom clearance approved before the product even reached the airport.

Oooooo. I thought they send out as packaged immediately from factory, and not in bulk pallets. Thanks for the info!

DHL tracking is not very detailed. The next update you get will be Arrived in Malaysia and probably With Delivery Courier on the same day.

You probably get it tomorrow. Has Apple emailed you the E-Invoice yet? If not, check again around 6:30pm.

Mine shipped Fri, delivered Tues. I'm in KL, that may have made a difference.

30/3 - Order Placed, Processing - Ships 5-7days (ETA: 16/04 - 20/04)
1/4 - Preparing to Ship
2/4 - Shipped (ETA: 13/4) (DHL: Shipment picked up)
5/6 - E-Invoice Received
6/4 - Out for Delivery & Delivered

You need to give at least 4-6 working day after courier received the item from Apple.

Hey guys, was just wondering if anyone here does extensive photo/video editing on the M1 Macbook air?

I was considering picking one up sometime later this year for photo/video editing purposes, but my 2015 15 inch Macbook Pro still has some life in it - would it be worth the upgrade?

TIA smile.gif

Oh right I was considering the MBP M1 or the Air M1. Never really considered the iMac as I would like to be on the go.

Between the MBP M1 and the Air M1, I've seen that there isn't that big of a difference in terms of performance so I'll probably opt for the cheaper option!
