Oh right I was considering the MBP M1 or the Air M1. Never really considered the iMac as I would like to be on the go.

Between the MBP M1 and the Air M1, I've seen that there isn't that big of a difference in terms of performance so I'll probably opt for the cheaper option!

Depend what u r using for. Im on heavy office workloads, no gaming, mild to moderate video and photo editting. Been using my M1MBA since January on daily basis, never had heat throttling issue.

16GB RAM.
8GB is too basic, dont recommend on this setup at all, unless you're university student mainly use for light assignments.

now i am thinking whether to get the

imac base spec upgrade to 16gb
or
imac mid spec 8gb

i came from a 2012 rMBP 16gb haha, which is still working till today...

i dont do much heavy computing these days, mainly to browse the web and watch movies and the occasional photo editing

QUOTE(kyle46 @ Jun 10 2021, 06:09 PM)
So I ordered MacBook Air M1 from apple store Malaysia. Courier service is DHL and after I did the tracking, seems it is stuck at Subang Airport. So I called DHL to know how long it will usually take for clearance and the customer services said that I need to apply for import license/sirim for the clearance. Huh? Why on earth I have to do that? I bought it from official apple store Malaysia and I was not aware that I have to do this on my own. If I didn’t call to check with DHL, I would never know.

Is this true? Anyone experienced this before?
*
Mine also stuck in subang airport and the status now is clearance delayed. May I know how long dhl took to clear it?

Not sure if it’s the same, but I bought a few accessories from Apple, and DHL delivered it on a Saturday.
