QUOTE(RiriRuruRara @ May 16 2021, 05:00 PM) What you mean different usage bro? Need to know is the macbook pro display a lot better then the macbook air??? One is tablet one is a laptop. This are the usages. Which one to choose should be based on ur use cases. It is not hard to understand. Now iPad Pro totally cannot replace a MacBook. MacBook Pro display is brighter than MacBook Air. This is the only thing that the display is more superior.

QUOTE(eikozai @ May 15 2021, 12:11 AM) Just get this M1 MBA would be sufficient for your usage. Easily overkilled for these usages. Get the 8cores GPU if budget allowed, rather than regret later. If not urgent, wait for year end new model, second generation ARM processor. thanks man, will definitely wait for the year end model. now my mac still can do the job, just itchy only. timing wise also just ngam, when bonus is out. hahaha

I'm interested in getting this MBA to replace my current Windows laptop.
Just wondering whether I should get AppleCare or any of the other warranty offered by Machines/Switch/others?

I was thinking to use casing for my MBA, but it decided to keep it naked because it's too sexy to cover it. Casing also make the MBA more bulky. This post has been edited by loonsave: May 18 2021, 11:43 AM

You are right on that, but after my last disaster with some water damage (water didn't spill on the keyboard but rather someone knocked over a glass of water and it flowed through the back vents) and fall damage (someone hit the bag where the laptop was kept off the chair), I decided to get a casing for my MBA.

You have your point. So it depends on whether someone willing to take the risk or not.

Do you guys use CleanMyMac X on your new MBA M1? I ordered mine with 16gb RAM, but when I check on CleanMyMac X, it usually says I only have available RAM of less than 300MB. And I only have WhatsApp, Safari and Mail running.

I just use skin. Same colour. Very hard to differentiate with or without skin. As sexy as naked but still have at least scratch resistance. Before After

Yes that is because the difference in OS is that MacOS tends to utilise all of the available RAM in the system even when there are minimal apps running. The new mantra is "Unused RAM is wasted RAM" and now Memory Pressure (not free-memory), is the new metric to follow. (Green is good).
