QUOTE(kevinpss @ Nov 18 2020, 05:43 PM) I think 8GB is good enough to use for the next 5 years....just my thoughts... unless ur daily tasks are really really light, else 16GB will be more future proof....I do have concerns on 8GB RAM especially come to open/working on huge Excel file. Considering the machine instructions are different now with ARM, i think RAM will make less sensitive compare to the X86 framework OS. |

QUOTE(davidletterboyz @ Nov 23 2020, 05:52 PM) Yup. It's like eating using legs. i am sure any apple fans here use windows becos of no choice, same as me. i am using bootcamp on my macbook pro 2017 due to work purpose too. If die2 must use Windows software, go for Windows OS la. Why wanna make life difficult? i will never go with any windows laptop as the quality is totally far far behind apple one. |

QUOTE(christine_1236 @ Apr 14 2021, 11:03 PM) Hi all, am considering getting the 16GB RAM as a switch from windows, my work will require loading big datasets on excel, running statistical models on R, and also running javascripts to automate some work on Adobe illustrator. if u are still heavily rely on windows, my suggestion is still to get a intel based mac. I am in the same situation too, therefore i just got my intel based refurbished i3 mac mini 2018, the price is the same as m1 mac mini 2020. however, it is the only solution now. there is arm based technical preview version of windows now that could be run using virtualisation software such as parellel but the experience will not be same. However my only concern was on the app compatibility issue on M1, as there's mixed review on running Illustrator on M1 as the native version is not out yet, some people have no issue while some cant even open without crashing. Any owners can share your thoughts or any experience running these tools on MBA? Or maybe I should just stick with windows for my use case? Much appreciated! i will wait till there is more promising arm based solution of mac before i purchase one. |

QUOTE(meteoraniac @ May 9 2021, 08:05 AM) I’ve a 256gb iPhone confirmed not enough. if u really need to do the backup on the ssd itself, u need at least 512GB. unless u set the itunes backup location to an external HDD that is in larger capacity.Since I do backup every few months, is the 256 ssd package sufficient or should I get 512? I don’t do gaming or editors on laptop, just casual browsing and entertainment |

QUOTE(RiriRuruRara @ May 16 2021, 05:00 PM) What you mean different usage bro? One is tablet one is a laptop. This are the usages.Need to know is the macbook pro display a lot better then the macbook air??? Which one to choose should be based on ur use cases. It is not hard to understand. Now iPad Pro totally cannot replace a MacBook. MacBook Pro display is brighter than MacBook Air. This is the only thing that the display is more superior. |

what i can warn about battery charging is that = never never leave your macbook on charging for too long.
i used to leave my macbook pro on ac power all the time (24 x 7), within 4 years, i had changed 3 times new batteries due to battery bloated prob. all the time when i changed battery, the battery cycle was less than 10. first time - bloated after 2 years of usage. second time - bloated after less than 1 year of usage. |

QUOTE(soitsuagain @ Oct 24 2021, 11:07 AM) same. I love the glowing apple logic for 2015 MBP but I love more of the 2016MBP design and importantly the lighter weight.yeah. Touch Bar looks very cool. This post has been edited by westlife: Oct 24 2021, 11:23 AM |
