So, I just called Affin Bank at 10.46 a.m. for CIP application and I was told an officer will call me back by today.

I'm surprised the call came in 5 minutes ago. He asked me which card I want to use for CIP, I chose Rewards card so that I won't mess up with other cards' transaction as I don't plan to use this card at all. The problem is I haven't activated that CC yet. So, CS helped me to activate as well. Good job.

Everything was done via phone, it will be credited within 3-5 working days. The officer who called said if I'm interested with 0% BT, can straight contact CS and mention his name. This guy is efficient.

Oh ya, my earlier call to CS also checked for my Duo statement date and I was told it is the same as VS.

Card activation and set pin can be done thru phone banking.
So the entire processes can be complete without physically attend to branch

yes, but CS told me that have to go to branch to get online banking pin. unless you don't the online banking to monitor the account.

mine was not exactly fast either, some here seems faster. from biometric to approval of card was 12 days for me. maybe wait few more days, if not call the sales agent or CS?

However, when I called to check, there's no status in their system. Messaged the 2nd agent to check and she contacted another person in Affin and that person said application not submitted.

Wondering what happened now. Hope not being scammed.

you are mixing 2 separate things.

1) card PIN can be done via phone or online banking (if already have)

2) online banking require to visit bank for pre-registration. when you register yourself (after pre-registration), you enter the card PIN to complete the registration.

11/9 - apply website
14/9 - biometric
18/9 - application submitted - appear in CCRIS as pending and IVR pending
5/10 - still pending

its normally take a while becoz agent normally submit once they come back to HQ office. but from submission to approval, should not take very long.

so there are a mixed of feedbacks on changing statement dates for affin cards. I called CS just now for CIP and change statement date.

I called last Friday, the CS didnt let me change statement date. I called again, this CS very nicely help me change. According to her, 14, 16, 22 are the only available dates. so, for those who failed the 1st time, dont give up and try again. i didnt want to scold the CS the first time, but it's a reflection of Affin CS training la.

Mine was 22nd, it just screws up all my other scheduling with other cards. so i had to change it. just dislike end of month statement date. 14 is somewhat tolerable.
