QUOTE(spreeeee @ Sep 2 2020, 08:54 AM) for the 3% cashback capped rm80 per month, means equivalent to around rm2666 spending per month.. most probably could have ppl abuse it to reload to ewallet and withdraw to offset the spending.. typically tactic.. lol.. why need to abuse? it's a feature for both bigpay (withdrawal) and affinduo (plain b&w eligible for a range of ewalllets) QUOTE(Human Nature @ Sep 2 2020, 08:56 AM) Hope not or Affin may not be able to sustain the 3% and RM80 cap for long. VS 3% @ RM80 still holding on strong, although limited to contactless for the time being -- this VS not good enough to replace Quantum Visa, but good as backup

QUOTE(YoungMan @ Sep 2 2020, 09:27 AM) I think they will regret allowing people to topup Ewallet, but let's see. Can topup Bigpay and Sarawakpay to get free money and then withdraw. Affin dont have to regret as they allow it for cashback calculation. it only impact their P&L, which already scoped into their business case when coming up with this Duo card. Else, they wouldn't so upfront in listing the ewallets out It's more of tactical approach to target ewallet spending. payment cards are just the topup source (souce of funding) --> ewallets majority of the work is on these ewallets providers because they need to keep maintaining and reporting the withdrawal activities.

Would like to visit them on tomorrow 😁 for existing Affin cardholders, can use the Add Card form. minor things to fill up.

QUOTE(wjleong15 @ Sep 3 2020, 02:44 PM) statement, I confirmed this with cs, but still have to verify it when receive the statement affin's cb follow statement cycle/date (T) however, transaction MUST be posted on T-1 day in order for the cashback to be calculated and credited on statement date (T). if a transaction falls on statement date (T), the cashback will be calculated in next statement date.

QUOTE(coolguy99 @ Sep 4 2020, 02:35 PM) They say Monday got one day approval. So they will submit only on that day. First time hearing such procedure. Anyway they didn't offer any free gift for applying via branch. yep, my affin staff also initially said 7 Sep (Mon) got 1-day approval. Then she corrected the date to 8 Sep (Tue)

QUOTE(PoisonSoul @ Sep 4 2020, 10:27 AM) May I just ask for the CCRIS report, can I apply it online (I found the documents needed to fill up and send) or I still have to go to BNM or AKPK to sign up? If I do online apply, does it mean that's the only a time off/report to be sent to me? you can try from the upcoming BNM's campaign this weekend.

QUOTE(coolguy99 @ Sep 8 2020, 12:13 PM) Wouldn't the PBB Quantum be a better bet for the contactless? After all they offer 5%, only downside is that it only applies for trxs of at least RM30. Anyway OOT. not enough when got continuous monthly spending ma quantum visa: any contactless txn less than rm600 (total monthly cumulative spend also rm600) -- max cb rm30 affin vs: any contactless txn less than rm250 (total monthly cumulative spend rm2667) -- max cb rm80

QUOTE(fruitie @ Sep 8 2020, 03:25 PM) The call was just to ask if I'm OK to have it delivered to office address... Then, I asked about the approval status, she said this is final stage and still pending. I'm also lost. CCRIS and IVR are still pending. QUOTE(fruitie @ Sep 8 2020, 03:32 PM) I have no idea actually.. Looks like I'm the only one who received this call for weird request. I hope not because of my residential address, they are going to reject it. my other principal application (NTB, by hand-in to Affin staff), she also asked whether to deliver to home or office address before receiving any approval status.

QUOTE(fruitie @ Sep 8 2020, 04:31 PM) At least you were given with a choice, I was basically given with just office address. Anyway, let's see if it will be rejected later. still ok la, during MCO, my VS was automatically delivered to branch! kinda counter-intuitive considering the SOP for banks.
