Anyone has lately gotten their loan approved? What is the interest rate for 5 or 7 years?

Mbb offered 2.29% and 2.30% respectively.
*
How much loan are you taking?

MBB 5 year 2.24%
CIMB/Proton 5 year 2.25%

Really depends on how many commitments you have to determine your interest rate.
I have a separate home loan with MBB also for what it's worth.

Been driving both x70 and x50 lately. Can feel x50 is much more responsive when moving from standstill.

The audio quality is also much better than x70. I'm still trying hard to get the right equaliser settings for x70 but x50 is just good out of the box.

The only things I like about x70 are the comfortable Nappa leather seats and better resolution cameras.

I can only think of few possibilities:
- not driving the car everyday
- too short distance drives
- play too much of the infotainment system while the engine is off
- not locking the car (manual says leaving the car unlocked drain more battery than locked)
- faulty battery?

My guess (tikam), user playing game/youtube via QDlink (MirrorLink) while the engine is off. tongue.gif

Hope this is just becoz of faulty battery.

From what I heard owners with both x70 and x50 made hard statement that the audio quality is very inferior in X50 compared to X70.

My SA (boss of a dealer) told me specifically to run the engine at least once every 2 days. If not you leave the car off for 3 days or longer, you be prepared to tow to SC because the battery will die.

And no it’s not simply because of faulty battery, my SA told me it’s because your 4G SIM card that is installed in your car runs your battery 24/7 so not starting the engine regularly will drain the battery in just few days.

Can we replace battery on our own? Or it has to be from Proton to avoid warranty void?

This guy also agrees with me - x50 audio quality better. He's also an owner of a x70.

Not the first time hearing this, few other owners had the same issue. Personally I feel 2-3days battery will drained is a bit ridiculous tbh especially during this cmco period I sometimes don't even use my current car for a week.

Hopefully there's more to it than just the sim card draining the battery.

Is it ? I didn’t really catch him talking about audio quality but only overall quality. But ok hopefully it’s really better than X70. For me it’s acceptable

Now that I check my fuel range again, need to correct that 500km is achievable, not 640km 😂

Proton will probably do that same practice as BMW and any other car that uses the similar car technology. BMW technician will charge your car battery every time you bring to SC for service (for certain series and variant)
