I am sorry that I cannot locate a more recent PayPal thread. Anyway, I want to ask on how to transfer USD from my PayPal Malaysia account, to my Wise Multi Currency USD account.
I have tiny amount of USD in my PayPal Malaysia account. The issue is that PayPal Malaysia allows withdrawal to only Malaysian bank savings accounts. As such, my USD will be converted at PayPal's unfavourable USD-MYR rate.
I would prefer that my USD is directly transferred from my PayPal Malaysia account, to my Wise Multi Currency USD account. That way, I can keep my money as USD, avoiding the loss to currency exchange. I do not mind paying some fee for the direct transfer, as long as my money is retained as USD.
Thank you for your advice. smile.gif

There is a USD7.5 flat rate fee for "Receiving" USD wire transfers, FYI ..

Account pricing
Receive money in EUR, USD, GBP, AUD, NZD, HUF & SGD Free
Receive USD using ACH or bank debit Free
Receive USD wire transfers
7.50 USD

To "Add" USD, there is a fixed fee of USD4.14.

I wonder what is the difference between "Add" vs "Receive", apart from the fee structure.

currently if you transfer above USD2k+ to receiving in Wise account, then Wise is cheaper:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gZQGDscCuro&t=330s

If below that amount, transfer to CIMB SG method is cheaper. Can check his other videos on how to do that.

Just tried first time withdrawal using Wise card at Maybank ATM. Works like a charm, and you get instant notification from the app as well

Honestly not really. Wise main function is still a multi currency platform for you to store limited oversea currency and transfer them to offshore account / spend with limited time overseas

I withdraw just to activate the card and get that RM100 that I transfered during card sign up in cash

Hello guys, I just received my card which last 4 digit number is 5150. I have canceled this card and requested a new card because it has passed the delivery date and I did not expect the canceled card arrived to me. My newly requested card is 0328 and I have several transactions on it. May I know what should I do? I have already emailed Wise on this issue.

Received MY Wise card this week and managed to activate/use it for chip & pin transaction.

However, it failed to get through contactless transaction yesterday, after activation.

Anyone faces similar problem ?

Thanks

It's 4-digit PIN and worked with chip & PIN transaction.

I just tried contactless at another store just now and the transaction went through successfully.

It's all good to go.

I faced the same problem as you. Tried chip and pin 1st time, then tried contactless at another store but failed.
Had to use chip and pin again and successful. Then tried 3rd store, still cannot use contactless. rclxub.gif
How did you manage to solve your problem? Maybe because I used all in the same day?

1st PIN activation(successful) and contactless(declined) transactions were at the same shop on different days.

Subsequent contactless transaction(successful) was at a different shop. I have not made any new transactions since then.

Maybe contactless is only accepted at certain outlets ?

Yes, seems like it. Guess it's just trial and error then.

There are different type of terminals that merchants using, eg. provided by UOB bank, CIMB bank and etc.

Can we share which merchants or bank terminals that you can or can't paid by paywave?

Hey guys, I have received my Wise card. Have been using it for a while for in store transactions. I noticed when I go to McDonalds (Maybank terminals) it always decline to accept wave, even swipe payments; I didn’t disable any wave/swipe transactions so it has left me baffled. I always have to resort to PIN transactions. Has anyone encountered this and what is the solution?

for those who failed their contactless after first PIN transaction, maybe try to disable and enable the settings again from the app
