Need to pay for the withdrawal charges right?

Hey guys, I have received my Wise card. Have been using it for a while for in store transactions. I noticed when I go to McDonalds (Maybank terminals) it always decline to accept wave, even swipe payments; I didn’t disable any wave/swipe transactions so it has left me baffled. I always have to resort to PIN transactions. Has anyone encountered this and what is the solution?

I applied without topping up anything in Wise. Will let you know here when my card arrives.

Oh ok. Just choosing how your name appear on card is "KYC". Fine.

Anyway, thecurious I have not encountered any step which require me to top up during the whole application process. I am not sure if there is a need to top up during the activation process, however. Looking at previous post, it seems like I need to spend with the card at least once, in which case a prior deposit is needed.

The "verified your identity" part is done for my case (which I think is the "true KYC" part), the only thing left is address filling, choosing how name appears, courier method and potentially payment of 10 MYR in case the promotional period is gone.

Will update more here later when card arrives.

Wise paywave might works with HLB & MBB terminals so far but not guarantee.
I don't know why some worked and some didn't.

Be careful.
I tried to reload boost with the virtual cards and then boost banned my account from using any card.

You can try reload with the physical card once, if it failed, don't try it anymore.
Otherwise your account might be banned without any warning just like me.

Problem is they dont give tracking number so it’s a risk, which is why i dont top up the card first until i received it

Lads & Lasses, can I confirm that Wise has issued us Wise account holders a unique bank account number via J.P Morgan? Because it just says Wise Payments Malaysia when one is performing a DuitNow a.k.a Instant Transfer to it. I like the anonymity that one can receive funds without exposing their real name.

Used to be able to have anonymity via Bank of China (Malaysia) because they only support IBG (Inter-bank GIRO), but now, they started support DuitNow via account number, oh well.

what is the purpose to receive MYR in Wise if we can receive MYR from our own bank account?

hi, new to wise card, just applied the wise debit card, pay by public bank debit card, i notice the pbb charged me rm23.7 instead of rm13.7. what is that extra rm10 yah? is that normal?

hrmm. i remember i choose the default delivery option. i cant see any tracking number.
is it the express delivery rm10?
