do any of the Wise cards work for online payment? Physical and digital seems not working...
Edit: Ok all seems to be fine. Wise cards are now working good.  thumbup.gif

How did you solved the problem?

I can't use wise virtual card to topup boost ewallet. And now boost blocked my account from using any card to topup. =_=

Wise cards are international issued cards. Most of our e-wallets only accept Malaysia issued cards. Except for BigPay.  icon_idea.gif
Probably not Singapore. Tried on ShopeePay (which accepts Malaysia/Singapore cards). Rejected.
*
So wise card can't use to topup any ewallet in msia?

If your card was issued in Malaysia: You can take out money for free twice a month — as long as the total amount is under 1,000 MYR. But after that, we’ll charge you 5 MYR per transaction. This is a fixed fee. If you take out over 1,000 MYR in one month, we’ll charge you 1.75% on top of that.

Is that mean we can withdraw up to RM1000 for free in Malasia?
Then what about atm withdrawal in oversea countries? How to calculate the fee?

In contrast, bigpay charge RM6 for local and RM10 for oversea.
As simple as that.

I think it means equivalent of RM 1000 in foreign currency. I still think RM 5 + 1.75% fee is not that expensive compared to withdraw from ATM bank card(with unfavorable forex rate) or from money changer.
*
If I wanna withdraw SGD 1,000 that means the fee will be RM5 + SGD 17.5?

So bigpay charge RM10 is the best choice for oversea atm withdrawal?

Quite curious which terminal they're using as well.

Tried using Wise Card for llao llao in Pavilion Bukit Bintang, both wave transactions failed. The merchant used CIMB terminal.
*
Thanks, updated!
Currently still only HLB terminal enabled for NFC and all others declined.

Now I'm curious those merchants that declined wise visa paywave, will they decline credit card's paywave issued by other banks as welll?
If answer yes, that means they really reject all NFC payments;
If answer no, that means something wrong with wise card.

Tested with Maybank terminals at McDonald’s so the issue seems with the banks side as it is the problem limited to CIMB and OCBC machines doh.gif

Did anyone try with PBB machine?
*
Only HLB's terminal can process NFC and all others failed right?

Let me know what merchant use which terminal and I'll try to keep updating the list.

Having the card alone isn't exciting. THere is so much fees for withdrawals. What the real draw?

I'll be happy if you can share with us alternative solutions.

I use my Wise card at McDonald’s 1U and Starbucks (both Maybank terminals) those terminals are black and have a slim profile. Always reject wave & swipe transaction. But for insert payments, I have a choice of typing in my PIN or bypass PIN authentication by pressing green(OK)
*
Wise paywave might works with HLB & MBB terminals so far but not guarantee. biggrin.gif
I don't know why some worked and some didn't.

I got my virtual card info Wise card just apply
Try to reload on touch n go says invalid card no. just key in
Boost successful login in to revpay portal and verify by Wise app authorization but fail to storing registering the card info
*
Be careful.
I tried to reload boost with the virtual cards and then boost banned my account from using any card.

You can try reload with the physical card once, if it failed, don't try it anymore.
Otherwise your account might be banned without any warning just like me. doh.gif

So boost forfeited your balance?
*
I think it's still different.

Only banned me topup by using any credit/debit card. I only can topup by online bank now.
QUOTE(thecurious @ Jan 19 2022, 10:02 PM)
Ban for how long?
*
They won't tell.
I just use other ewallets now.
QUOTE(The1stHumanBeing @ Jan 20 2022, 07:11 AM)
Yeah, I also tried adding my virtual Wise card into Shopee just for fun. Said it was an invalid card, so not all sites support the virtual card.
*
I think all ewallets in msia banned both wise and bigpay virtual card.
I tried wise virtual card to pay zcity app and it's success, which is not ewallet.

Can, but you need at least RM200 balance, as they would hold the RM200 before returning to you the unused amount so like you refuel RM50, they would return RM150.
*
It will withhold RM200 if you DIY.
It will not withhold RM200 if you paid at the counter.

I still think it's a lousy system.
