from what i knw, RAM only got limited lifetime warranty, i think when the manufacturer stop producing the model of the ram we using, then there will be no more warranty...

it's always 'limited'...if not, even if u fried ur chip, they still need to replace...if the model is no longer available, they will try to replace it with the similar model...not same but similar...like my Annie, came back Ballistic...coz Annie is sorta limited edition; so, they just replace it with similar model lah

I've had the same issue and tried almost every single thing smile.gif The best way is to put in another chip to see if it hangs/boot up at the same point. From there, we can conclude if it's a board or CPU issue.

I scare PSU lah. After i get E8400 and Corsair VX450W,will try to see can i hit 500x8 24/7 and maybe some 9's spi. This proccesor is customer one so better keep it as it is now.

one n00b question sweat.gif laugh.gif

I use SetFSB to overclock my E6550 from fsb 472 to 475... the cpu-z got shown 475x7 and the ram speed also 475 but then, when I open sp2004 to prime, it shown 472x7, so my question is, actually is the speed changed or remain the same?

Currently running @ SPD as in EPP #3 (see my CPUZ scrrenie)

Mem Speed @ 960, vMem @ 2.2

FSB 480 x 7

user posted image

I tried increasing voltage both CPU and Mem but no success! 480 seems to be the last!

Any suggestions welcome thnx!
And TS I would be thankful if you can add me also to the list based on my current results thnx!

i think if you would increase the voltage to 2.3v and retry it would work biggrin.gif
or alternatively try this settings 5-6-5-15

@gsan,
sp2004 and orthos sometimes reads the fsb and multiplier wrongly :S

so use cpuz (latest version) icon_rolleyes.gif

eh, forgot to put my question in that post xD
the vcore sometimes fluctuates from 1.472 to 1.385. not always, but once or twice after I opened cpu-z.

is it normal?

the superPI is a bit low don't u think? I thought it could hit 14sec flat or near it..
