QUOTE(clawhammer @ Jan 16 2008, 12:23 PM) Most people comment based on their reading (not experience) so it's hard to tell what's true and what's not ya, actually to get stable OC, we must run through prime test for both core at least 8 hours for stability, not just running SuperPI... the best is priming for 24hours...There are just as many Wolfdale users not being able to get their E8400 stable at 4Ghz. |

QUOTE(clawhammer @ Jan 16 2008, 02:39 PM) I understand that. My point is that not all E8400 are 4Ghz stable from what I read. I'm not sure how true it is but am sharing what I see from other forums. It's good to have that in mind so that people don't have a wrong expectation that all E8400 can run 4Ghz+ daily. ya i get it, like my case lo... my e2140 need bout 1.5vcore just to run 3ghz... kucingfight and goldfries e2140 can reach 3.2ghz at such low vcore... and also ur e2140 OC quite well as well... so its depends on steppings and batch... |

QUOTE(IcEMoCHa @ Jan 19 2008, 05:32 PM) RAM got lifetime warranty ma... Processor will die faster not on higher vcore but on higher temperatures... from what i knw, RAM only got limited lifetime warranty, i think when the manufacturer stop producing the model of the ram we using, then there will be no more warranty...QUOTE(AceCombat @ Jan 19 2008, 05:47 PM) Yay!!!! wow... nice speed there... sort out ur water cooling stuffs d?my new hit speed!!! |
