QUOTE(lejoant @ Aug 3 2007, 09:51 AM) an extra for 1K ? I am not sure about you but , 1k for a processor that will phase out within 1 to 2 years osn't workth it.If you want performance maybe you can consider laptop cpu E6850 3.0GHz 1333mhz with only RM999 if not mistaken. All is up to you , if you really want to have a good performance laptop , maybe the best is 7T300 2.0 Ghz.Next year Q1 there'll be new penryn santa rosa refresh , not sure Dell will adopt it but the price is cheaper and perform better than thecurrent T7500.Up to you. |

I didnt take the T7700 which costs a diff of rm1328 from T7500 All is up to you , if you really want to have a good performance laptop , maybe the best is 7T300 2.0 Ghz.Next year Q1 there'll be new penryn santa rosa refresh , not sure Dell will adopt it but the price is cheaper and perform better than thecurrent T7500.Up to you. i need my laptop to last for at least 3 years, so i think i should at least get a decent spec. thanks for your advice though. would definitely opt for desktop if i could. but going to uni overseas |

So what you meant is that T7300 2.0 Ghz is worth more than T7500, right? How about T7100 1.8Ghz? Is it worth to pay extra RM300+ for an upgrade from T7100 1.8Ghz 2MB Cache to T7300 2.0 4MB Cache? All is up to you , if you really want to have a good performance laptop , maybe the best is 7T300 2.0 Ghz.Next year Q1 there'll be new penryn santa rosa refresh , not sure Dell will adopt it but the price is cheaper and perform better than thecurrent T7500.Up to you. |

It worths the money if you r thinking to use it for at least 2 years to come. At least I have to say the 4MB Cache will benefit u alot than 2MB Cache. You prolly don't need 2.2 4MB Cache bcoz u can always overclock if you r that desperate. I'll say you would be fine with 2.0 4MB cache.

I dunno what happens to my graphics of CnC3, using 8600m GT
Here's the setting: ![]() and here's the screenshot during the game. ![]() Any idea how to solve it? I recall that it doesn't look like this. I've tried rolling back the display driver and reinstall a new one but it doesn't help. I've looked for ForceWare driver but there isn't one for 8600m GT. Get back to stocked driver. That will solve it. Install driver cleaner and install the stocked driver back.

QUOTE(Sandwich2U @ Jul 30 2007, 08:38 PM) You mus think twice, 1520 is rather bulky and its color coating disappointed me. i cant gt find the patch fr dell la for the wireless..where u gt 1 aI have ordered 2 for my cousins, 1 red 1 pink. Really heavy i can say. And the keyboard gives me a feel like plastic toys. Most importantly, we have spent over 2 days for the wireless issue. You need to download Intel Wireless patches from DELL support site in order to get connected to your legacy wireless router. Both notebook equipped with 8600m and 2G ram, but they are not performing well in term of graphical under windows vista. I can feel the delay when running few "light-weight" applications simultaneously. Overall, if you travel a lot, this notebook gonna hurt your shoulder due to its heavy weight. If the reason you buy 1520 is only because of the metalic color finish. You might need to do more research on it. Yes, it does come with 2.0 megalpixels webcam. Edited: I was the first batch buyer, Price of each 1520 is RM2999 (Free upgrade to 2G) + Delivery RM12x. |
