I also upgraded the Wireless controller to support Wireless N too.

Hope that doesn't create any compatibility issue since it does support other modes.

Wireless N is for WiMax purpose right?
Can't help you with this, I have CnC3 but not Far Cry.
*
I don't think that Wireless N is Wimax.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/802.11

I think Wireless is enhancing currently WLAN A/B/G with MIMO capability (antenna coverage/directivity).

1520 doesnt seem to work well in xp environment. it's designed to run vista. just my 2cent

Where got such thing! As long as you have all the compatible drivers, it should be working. Hardware should be independent of software as long as it's using the same architecture, IA-32 or IA-64.

yup incase if it's really a full compatible driver la..

Even if it's a fully compatible driver from Dell, you can always get the OEM drivers from the OEM manufacturers (provided that you could dig these out).

What I could comment is that Inspiron 1420/1520/1720 is optimized (or fully compatible) for Vista. Hardware should be backward compatible with previous version/edition of OS (with driver support).

hao, what you're trying to describe is like a MAC whereby a serial number (in this case will be the product key) has been programmed hardware's PROM.

I don't think that it'll be available on 1420//1520/1720. Perhaps in their next model release.

That sounded a little weird. Have you confirmed that your burning procedures are correct? What software are you using? Have you tried on DVDR yet?

Discount? From PC Fair or online? The discount is usually standard if you get it online or by phone.

Your post doesn't mean anything.

Got it for roughly two weeks and still no time to give a deep exploration. Mainly used for normal routines - surf Internet, listen to mp3, watch TV series and etc.

The best way is to get back to the SA that processed your order. Call or email him/her.
