I also upgraded the Wireless controller to support Wireless N too.
Hope that doesn't create any compatibility issue since it does support other modes. |

QUOTE(hao @ Jul 28 2007, 11:28 AM) I don't think that Wireless N is Wimax.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/802.11 I think Wireless is enhancing currently WLAN A/B/G with MIMO capability (antenna coverage/directivity). This post has been edited by David83: Jul 28 2007, 11:32 AM |

QUOTE(alexnvidia @ Jul 29 2007, 02:18 PM) Where got such thing! As long as you have all the compatible drivers, it should be working. Hardware should be independent of software as long as it's using the same architecture, IA-32 or IA-64. |

QUOTE(zuying1985 @ Jul 29 2007, 02:29 PM) Even if it's a fully compatible driver from Dell, you can always get the OEM drivers from the OEM manufacturers (provided that you could dig these out). What I could comment is that Inspiron 1420/1520/1720 is optimized (or fully compatible) for Vista. Hardware should be backward compatible with previous version/edition of OS (with driver support). |

hao, what you're trying to describe is like a MAC whereby a serial number (in this case will be the product key) has been programmed hardware's PROM.
