for first 3 months only.

Yes, it’s for 3 months only, yet it’s still cheaper than Unifi thereafter.
300mbps = Celcom @ RM149 ; Unifi @ RM199
500mbps = Celcom @ RM179 ; Unifi @ RM249

Furthermore, as soonwai said, Celcom gives AX router which is much better than router provided by Unifi.
However, Unifi comes with Unifi playTV, it’s not worth if you don’t watch it.

Quite useful I'd say. Since I can't get TM to remove my UnifiTV, lately I've been using UnifiTV on an android stick in my guest room whenever there's guest coming.

Well, I did say if he is not watching.
To me, considering paying RM50 more for 24 months for the Unifi Plus Box + Unifi TV, I would rather buy a “better” TV Box.

Mine 800Mbps with Asus GT-AC5300, best speedtest was around 5xxMbps, close to 600 only. Upload wise usually is more than 200...

what to do, they only offered RM139 plan to those so called loyal customers as an underground package. even Maxis plans are cheaper than them.

Hmm... I would grab Maxis just for the price difference between Unifi (RM219 vs RM249)
Plus if you're using Maxis's postpaid you can grab their One Prime unlimited all plan for cheap
But if anything goes wrong and need to be fixed by technicians in your house, it'll take a bit longer as they'll need both Maxis's and TM's technicians to do the work.

Yes yes, Celcom is cheaper at just RM179, but I think they blocked p2p tho?

Unifi is stable for me but I've only been using it for 2 months, just avoid using their stock router and all is well.

Oh BTW, check if Allo Broadband is available at your area. Cheaper and faster than those 3 ISPs.
*
Cannot say celcom block p2p , as i observed they throttle p2p ...
still can download but at slower speed. I think same thing to maxis
as well.I guess only , higher price plan they don't throttle p2p.

HI ... I will be installing Unifi 30mbps this coming weekend. (might upgrade to 100mbps down the road)

I would like to know what brand of modem & router TM provide for 30mbps plan?

Should I change the stock router to a better router?

Currently i'm using Maxis wireless broadband with TPLINK MR200 router with DECO M5 mesh for my 2 floor house.

Thanks is advance for your reply.

Stock router more than enough for 30 Mbps depending on how many devices connected to router at 1 time and i use stock Tp Link for 1400 sqft house with speed 100 Mbps. But if you found the wifi coverage not stable, may consider asus router.

Those online submition quite slow. Want to upgrade just call 100 and they will process it for you. Otherwise if you have nothing to do, go to Tmpoint and upgrade will be done almost instantly.

on this situation, online is much more slower than manual! my experience that day, waiting until day 5 after they called me for verification, but still no PONR order created. at last i went to TM, within 2 hours i can see order created and another hour, i enjoy my new speed already.

My case, they already called to confirm upgrade but said they will courier the Deco m9 mesh and unifi tv equipment. I suppose, once received, someone will come to do installation?

I think my current equipment can handle the upgrade right? Now on 100Mbps plan using Huawei AX3 router. Upgrading to 500Mbps plan.

did you enjoy the new speed now? your router huawei AX3 should be ok for 500mbps. just install yourself the unifi tv box.

r these prices perpetual ? or they revert back to a more expensive price later on? hmm.gif

also how is the latency like on celcom? any uptime issues?

these days i have not many issues with tmnut. but if can jumpship to something for cheaper with no issues, then i probly would nod.gif
