Yggdrasil did an analysis.

But I have not tried a fund withdrawal to a 3rd party before. Not sure what additional scrutiny is involved.

Maybe others can share their experience

It's outdated now. :/ Didn't update the post.
Latest news is TransferWise is getting competitive and might even be better than Instarem.
Best is to compare again.

I don't use Telegram. Don't think I want an extra app in my phone.

Anyone tried funding IBKR in SGD using BigPay before? Their exchange rates are quite competitive and sometimes come very close to instarem. What I also like is that you can top up with credit card.

What I meant was that BigPay is the only one that functions with a credit card top up and you can use that to send money to SGD

Ya this one is outdated. Even during that time BigPay's fee was at RM7 and then they lowered it to RM5 sometime early this year I think

I compared recently and there has been times where BigPay's rates are better than instarem. And BigPay fee is fixed at RM5

Just want to know if it'll reflect in IBKR in Singapore. Maybe I'll give it a try

There's a chance it may not work, you may still try it out for the benefit of everyone with a small amount rclxms.gif

This is what shows up in my SG bank for Instarem and BigPay transfer:
i. Intarem
Inward FAST -
NSTAPTE3, OTHR-<MY NAME>XXXXXXXX<SEEMINGLY RANDOM ALPHANUMERICS>

ii. BigPay
Giro Credit from TikFx Singapore
BECH-<SEEMINGLY RANDOM ALPHANUMERICS>

For BigPay my name is not visible in the inward transfer. Another thing is that in BigPay there's no place to include transfer remarks to enter IBKR account number/name.

trading212 i gona try, can try credit card deposit and paypal and googlepay.

however have not try it before. had someobody use trading212 ?
there is cfd account and shares account. plenty of shares available

Hello, yes, I use trading212 in the UK. It works well and charges no commissions to trade shares mainly on USA and UK markets. Some European exchange shares are also available. In the UK, accounts are protected up to £75k subject to market values of course if brokers go bankrupt. Trading212 makes money via spread of buying and selling prices but they have been reasonable. You can set your own prices too.

My family members in Malaysia are also interested in trading212. Can you please let me know how it goes? Whether you signed up successfully and could deposit funds?

Thank you

Does anyone trading with TD Ameritrade Singapore here? Do you also use Singapore bank to transfer or do you directly fund and withdraw directly from Malaysia Bank?

Do not use TSG. Login to IB using the username and password provided. You get access to IB exchange rate.

If you are asking if you login to IB or TSG website which is the cheaper rate. I only login to IB. Never TSG.
