QUOTE(kart @ Apr 18 2020, 02:28 PM) Which USD 1000 balance is that? The total value of shares held via TradeStation Global, or amount of cash kept in trading account? I could be wrong, but I checked through https://www.tradestation-international.com/...ng-commissions/ and this website does not mention about the requirement to have USD 1000 balance. Thank you very much for your clarification, moosset.

QUOTE(Yggdrasil @ Apr 18 2020, 02:37 PM) I don't think TSG has inactivity fee. The picture you show is just for one off account opening. Yes, I think it doesn't too. It's just the initial deposit right? If not what happens if the balance drops below USD1k after account opening? This post has been edited by Gwynbleidd: Apr 18 2020, 02:47 PM

QUOTE(moosset @ Apr 18 2020, 03:24 PM) Thanks for finding the source! There is! source: I emailed them! CS: IB would charge $1 minimum activity fee if the account balance is below $1000 and there is no trading in the month. Me: Just for more clarity, if one has balance above $1000 but with no trading activity in that month, is there a minimum activity fee? CS: About the minimum activity fee, your understanding is correct. As long as you maintain the account balance over $1000, there is no minimum activity fee.Np! Thanks for the information!

QUOTE(kart @ Apr 18 2020, 10:16 PM) Thank you very much for sharing the source of the USD 1000 requirement. If the total value of shares held via TradeStation Global is more than USD 1000 but no cash is kept in trading account, there should not be USD 1 minimum activity fee being charged, right? Yes.

QUOTE(spiderwick @ Apr 22 2020, 04:51 PM) Hi guys, may i know if TSG has a mobile platform as well? And if transfer to cimb sg (then to usd in IBKR) is the cheapest way? wondering if i could skip cimb sg and proceed straight with either transferwise or instarem. if yes which currency will be best? and do i still need to transfer to usd in IBKR after that? 1. Yes, use the IBKR Mobile app. 2. Not sure if it's the cheapest. 3. Yes, you can. Currency depends on what you plan to buy. But if I'm not mistaken you can't transfer in USD straight to IBKR via Instarem or Transferwise. Again, depends on what you are buying. This post has been edited by Gwynbleidd: Apr 22 2020, 04:57 PM

QUOTE(wombie @ May 4 2020, 10:20 AM) I have a noob question here, I used instarem to transfer to my IBKR, then I have my sgd in IBKR, but the portfolio value also translated into USD. Do I still need to convert my SGD to USD to trade? Yes, if the thing you are buying is in USD.

Regarding Trading 212, those with TW Borderless Account should be able to use it without dealing with the high transaction costs/fees of local banks right?

QUOTE(Ramjade @ Jul 11 2020, 12:29 PM) Theoretically yes but I don't think anyone tested yet. If you have tested, kindly let us know. Too bad I don't have the TW Borderless Account. I signed up only after they removed Malaysians eligibility.

QUOTE(chiakaivalya @ Aug 19 2020, 11:29 AM) Hi everyone, I have an IKBR account, and I tried buying Irish-domiciled ETFs. But sadly the IKBR commission was 5USD per ETF (from LSE), even when it was just 1 or 2 units That's much more than the US-domiciled ETFs (1USD). Can anyone tell me the commission fee for ETFs such as VDEV and IGLO at Tradestation? Thanks! Is your account pure IBKR or whitelabel? If whitelabel, it should be way cheaper than that. QUOTE(ntdote @ Nov 14 2020, 08:04 PM) Updated 02 Jun 2020 For withdrawal, you can withdraw to your bank account in any developed country like Australia, UK, Singapore, HK etc. Alternatively, you can also open an account with Transferwise and get a borderless account. It's possible to withdraw EUR from IBKR to TW Borderless account. I haven't tried other currencies yet but will keep this post updated as more info comes in from other users. The above quoted from front page, seems no option for withdrawal for malaysia? Transferwise Borderless Account is not available for Malaysians anymore for those who opened an account after they decided so. This post has been edited by Gwynbleidd: Nov 14 2020, 08:21 PM

QUOTE(ntdote @ Nov 14 2020, 08:41 PM) Then how do malaysians withdraw from IB? Can we even deposit from msia account in the first place? Yes, you can but it will be expensive as mentioned few posts back. That is why we open a Singapore bank account for withdrawal or deposit. For deposit you could use fintech to directly deposit to IB from MY account.
