if you use your balance in Transferwise (USD), change to EUR then deposit to IBKR, then it works.

For the TSG Global, the min commisen is $1.5.
On top of that, we also need to pay for exchange fee as show below?

Tried transferring SGD using BigPay. SGD810. Only RM2,500 max BigPay top up for me per month. First international transfer is free. Since no place to write user ID/reference, I purposely put a non-round number just in case they can't match lol.

Received it in IBKR after 2 working days.  rclxms.gif

you log in and see lo ...

in the past, you are supposed to "open" the borderless account after logging in, and you'll be given your personal bank details so that you or other ppl can transfer money to your TW acc.
Now, I'm not sure if you're a new TW user or existing TW users.

Have you logged in and try to play around?
It's just a matter of going to the app and see what buttons are available, like switching on a new laptop / phone or booking flights for the first time.
I think I've clicked almost every button in TW in order to discover their features.

TransferWise charges RM57.25 for every RM10K transferred in USD to IBKR.

I am told that this is cheaper than what local banks charge.

It would be a loss if future transfers can no longer be done via TransferWise

u can try instarem

I was considering to withdraw fund from IBKR to Transferwise multicurrency amount, but it is temporarily close for service now. The Transferwise blog post list out quite a few of local bank option.

https://transferwise.com/sg/blog/best-multi...counts-malaysia

Anyone tried withdraw money from IBKR to multicurrency account offered by local Malaysia bank e.g. PB, RHB, CIMB ...

Public bank multicurrency account looks a reasonable low cost option besides Transferwise. RM30 annual fee, USD 1 transaction charge.

I withdraw to RHB bank but the fee is high compare to transferwise

QUOTE(Dage @ Jul 5 2020, 11:48 AM)
hi, i have recently started to withdraw money on monthly basis from interactive brokers to maybank.
everytime, i do the transfer, the bank will call me to ask about the source of the fund because the amount is >10kMYR

1. is there a workaround for this? is foreign bank (HSBC or CItibank) better in this regards?
2. THe withdrawal from IB to Maybank cost me about USD25. this is a bit too much in my perspective, anyone has experience with other banks?

TIA
*
Its depend on the amount u withdraw if less than threshold then they will not call u
