Just subscribed yesterday with contract for 24month that includes B618 4G Router. My home is out of blue coverage area about 4km(approximately). Manage to get 1bar signal with speed up to 15mbps. I'm satisfied with this spec since other telco that offer unlimited plan is congested in my area. Gonna tune external antenna to get better coverage later.

Edit : Forgot to mention I lock Band 40. Band 5 & band 38 signal is everywhere but use 5mhz spectrum that always congested. Band 40 is for Unifi Air. Unifi Mobile usually will utilise band 5 & 38. That is why coverage map in Unifi Air page is smaller.

How you lock the band from the modem?mind to share?

not sure tm planning did survey or not laugh.gif
tried to sub unifi air for my mom's house since only got streamyx, and checked website it's not available for the coverage.

but see the coverage mostly "concentrate" on areas that already got unifi fiber.

Does anyone know which tower Unifi actually using? Maxis or Celcom or others? If the reception of Maxis or Celcom, would Unifi air still work?

Log in to fix manually, or simplest way to manage is to use Hmanager apps on android. you can google the apk files. It is over the net.

regarding "dumb" post earlier, hope anyone else don't follow the dumbness and study all telco before posting.

You can apply but the risk is on you. I can say that Huawei B618 modem signal reception is better than mobile phone.

as for me, my location is further than you, towards the coverage area, somehow I still manage to get 2 bar signal with up to 27mbps (TM promised up to 25mbps).

After 24 months,  can we keep the modem if terminate the line??

Under unifi Air FAQ:
26. Do I need to return the unifi Air device when I terminate the service without any penalty?
Yes, you will need to return the device and its packaging in good working condition to any of our TMpoint outlets.

Too bad, we need to return it... ranting.gif ranting.gif
