QUOTE(hanalolu @ Jan 17 2008, 11:21 PM) You may try to get a personal loan to cover your cc debt, can save the interest. Take 2 years repayment and after some period, settle it early. Well...i agree for the suggestion but...make sure u dun use credit card anymore after u paying off..coz ur debt is going to increase like no one business!!! Scary~~~

QUOTE(jamesterlua @ Mar 1 2008, 08:49 PM) got one question here, can a student get a personal loan ??? like 3k, for emergency use ??? You need a pay slip and justify your source of income so if you don't have one, I don't think they'll approve it. Perhaps you get a supplementary card from your parents instead?

Hi, Take a look at Bank Negara's Consumer Banking website. They have tables there that make it easier to compare various loans. Regards Trevor Keegan www.taxsaya.comMalaysia's First FREE Multi-Lingual Tax Computation Software

QUOTE(geniuz @ May 6 2008, 11:01 AM) what is the different between flat rate and reducing rate? Which is better?? Reducing is always better.....it means that you are able to pay off more principle with every payment because your interest is reducing.....it also means that you can pay it back alot faster. i would like to apply PL from RHB but my PL appllication at Standard Chartered has been approved but i didnt comfirm yet to take or not since RHB rate more interesting.
What is your suggest, do i have to:- FIRST - Cancel at SC and apply new one at RHB (or) SECOND - Just apply at RHB, if approve, then i'll cancel at SC. --> What is my chances to getting loan from RHB IF i didnt cancel my loan at SC?

Holy bull..... Can employment letter be used instead of payslip?
My previous job doesn't provide pay slip and salary where given to me by cash (a short [3 month] contract job where i help my fren organizing an event). Am looking for a new job now and most probably will get it real soon, but need $$$ urgently... sigh...
edit : Any RHB banker here? Would like to double/triple confirm that RHB personal loan does not have any stamp duty/processing fee when applying a loan. And RHB Personal does not impose penalty/any charges for early settlement. I went to 3 RHB branches today. 2 told me no processing fee/stamp duty (i.e Borrow 5k get 5k nett) and no penalty or charges for early settlement. Just pay off the remaining balance.
i.e if i borrow 5k for the tenure of 5 years (60 months), every month i pay the repayment amount RM111.xx (where i believe the RM100 is principal and RM11 is the interests). And after 6 month (after paying the bank 6 month of repayment) i have the money and decide to settle off the balance, i just need to pay the remaining RM4400.
Can anyone from RHB double/triple confirm on this? (oh yeah, 1 of the branch told me i need to pay RM100 for early settlement)
Most probably i'll ask my fren to get the personal loan with his name first, and when i am qualified for a loan, i'll apply for 1 myself and settle the loan that my fren took for me
