The walkin is for 3 hours approval program, you may come to menara citibank during lunch time and I will help you to process the application in 15minute, then you may go back. After 3 hours, I will let you know the result.

For normal verification, it takes at least 5 days to process. For this method, I will travel to your place at your convinience level to get all necessary document.

You may contact me to make an appointment.

Er........ I am kind of interested to know the rejection and success rate of all the applications you have handled so far, rough estimation will do! The reason, it seems everyone and every banks is going banana over personal loan. Most people think it is a "free and easy" money (they thought wrongly cry.gif ). And if you still reading this, mind sharing the industry standard commission rate as a sales agent rclxms.gif ?

If suspended by bank, sorry to say that 90% will fail to get loan from citibank.

hmmm... 90% fail rate ar..

ok.... then lets say i do this..

citibank card (suspended until i make minimum payment) : outstanding RM 3k , i make payment 1k

mbf card (active) : outstanding RM 2.6k , i make payment RM 1k

maybank card (cancelled upon bank request, they took watever balance i left which manage to cover the minimum) : outstanding 2.2K, i make FULL payment and go down to the bank to request full cancelment.

so all in all.. it covers all the late payment and minimum payment charges... and then i go apply the personal loan... chances are better? or still the same?

OCBC power credit is a standy revolving loan - it is like a reserve and the interest is only charge when the money is withdraw from the account. The rate is slightly lower than credit card, I think is 1.4% p.a. The max amont is 3x salary. Comparing with personal loan, here is what I think:

The good
smile.gif Pay-as-you-use. You only charged on what you have withdrawn. Personal loan is all at one goes.
smile.gif A standby credict. You do not have to use it if you don't want to but has the option. For personal loan, once it approved, you have to pay all the interests according to the terms (period), and that there is a panelty on early settlement. In sort, personal loan 'locked' you.

The bad:
sad.gif Rate is higher than personal loan (pls take note that the 'flat rate' is not the actual interest rate as it does not take into account that over a period of payment, the original principle has reduced but the interest rate still based on the original amount, thus the actual rate is usually much higher than what advertised)
sad.gif Max amount is capped at 3X of income, Personal loan is 5X

Conclusion:
The Power Credict is best to treat it like an overdraft facilities, or a line of credict for emergency. Therefore is probably most helpful for businesses, or for someone who forsee a large expenses comming soon but not 100% sure but want to be prepared for that eventuality. The 'flexibility' is why it is more 'expensive' (higher rate) than personal loan. If what you need is flexibility, take OCBC. All others, take personal loan.

Cheers

Well i dunno if its true or not but from older colleagues experience if you buy a residential unit or a car and have a good record of paying on time, after 1 or 2 years they will call you to offer their credit card. This is easier to get compared to you apply for it.

You must mean 1.4% per month and not per annum. smile.gif

Still the same, unless you able to maintain good payment for 6 month continuiosly, then your record in BNM and citibank is clean.

Have you investigate on al-rajhi personal loan ?

Al-rajhi
-----------
Processing fee 150 + stamp duty 10 + Trading cost 150 = RM310
Interest rate 8.5% flat
Up to 5x only
Money credit to your acct
More document needed

Citibank
-----------
Processing fee 100 + 0.5% stamp duty
Interest rate 7.6 - 9.18 flat
up to 10x
Moeny credit to your acct or issue cheque
less document need

Other than that, is the same.
Please cprrect me if I am wrong.
