Al Rajhi Weekend Banking
apply for personal loan with minimum documentation. only need ic and a credit card for at least one year from any banks. approval in 3 hours. approval pending your credit history (prompt payment). max amount can apply = your credit card's credit limit. (credit limit 10k=max 10k can apply). they wont check your salary. i just call them yesterday. this weekend is the last weekend. 7.99%pa flat

i actually have a personal loan with standard chartered bank. its a 2 years loan. i have been paying for 18 months. 2-3 days ago, i called them to enquire about personal loan. suprisingly, they told me that i can apply another personal loan with them as long as my previous loans is more than 6 months old! that means, i can have two personal loan running simultenouusly from the same bank. that is strange i think...anyway, i just try my luck..maybe i will know if i get approved or not by this tuesday since monday is a public holiday. how they calculate the max amount i can apply for is either: 1. monthly salary times 5 or 2. highest credit card's credit limit (must be 3 years or more) divide by 2 and times by 5 they only require ic only. everything is done by phone and fax. btw, you need to have a good paying record
i think standard chartered has the lowest interest rate (exclude those personal loans for 'gomen' people) plus no processing fee. the downside is very few branches

a few weeks ago i went to standard chartered. the officer told me that the rate that they are offering is based on our credit record. if we have a clean record with promp payment, they will offer us the lower rate. if we dont have a very clean record, the will be offering higher rate. she said that it is very unlikely we can get the 0.71%. just call them to know more.

somebody from ocbc call me offering personal loan at 8.99%pa. He say that they only check ctos/ccris. they dont check commitment. is it true? that means as long as someone pay everything on time, they will be eligable to borrow, doesnt matter how much they already borrow with other bank! this is very dangerous..no wonder so many people bankrupt at young age...
