Well its been almost a decade since i made any models... blush.gif
But i guess u mean weathering effect like dust and dirt and a lil rust ?

I used to do that using pastel chalks. Did great for my panzer models with diorama. Sweet stuff as long as u don't hold it too often. Details like real but wears off easily. Applied on "painted" models with a thin brush...usually those tiny tipped ones...and the process is looooong  sweat.gif
After tat the model is basically a see-no-touch model  smile.gif
But i guess a top coat won't do any harm besides looking a lil fake lor  laugh.gif

i rmb last time ppl say the tamiya pastels can be replced with those art ones...how does it look like huh???

a question about gundam marker. i'm thinking of using gundam markers to paint my collection of sd. i heard that they are not so good due to the paint looking somewhat like water color paints. any gundam marker users here care to share their experiences?

hey guys,

Got a question, I just got myself some decals from HLJ.

I just realised the instruction mention about dipping the decal into the water then use a cotton butt to push it on the plastic.

Just wondering, is this kind of decal different from those that comes with MG ( where you just cut and then apply pressure to stick it on the plastic )

thanks guys

cheers

those that come with the MG is glue decal types... no need to cut, just take out and stick only.. the one that need to cut is dry decals.. cut put on the place and press it so that the decal stick on it..
There 3 types of decals.. Glue, water an dry. smile.gif

SWATwolf: when you use your markers.. say using a blue color marker to color on a black color part, will the blue color show or would it blend into the color?

in your opinion is it worth forking out the money for gundam markers?
