QUOTE(leroy87 @ Jul 20 2007, 10:51 AM) question: hmm... outline the surface = panel lining.. using gundam marker with fine tip which is for panel lining... if u mean fading = shading, this can only be done by AirBrush.... im an amateur, i dont plan to really model my kit to like the ones on display. i just want to outline the surface with thin pen, and make some effect like fading of the black color pen, i need a normal gundam pen(maybe the one set gundam markers), and an eraser to make the fade effect? any ideas vinceeeeeee? eraser is use to rub off the lines to clean or to make them look thin not thick lines.. |

sanding is done 1st then only comes painting and airbrushing..
sanding is to sand away the little bits of extra parts... to make it even... when sanding is done, scratches will arise therefore u nid to prime then start painting. =) |

QUOTE(richard0304 @ Oct 19 2007, 08:05 PM) Oh i see.. Thanks.. How about the seams? The line between two connected parts.. Can they be get rid too? yes they can be.. there are few methods.. -use super glue to stick them together then sand away the extra glue tat came out... -Use putty to cover the seam lines... so far i kno these 2.. hehe QUOTE(br0ther9630 @ Oct 19 2007, 10:42 PM) gurus! certain gundam parts need to be painted to look exactly like the box.. but some are quite small.. so what do you guys do? well, for hand painting use small brush to paint lor.. do u use those acrylic paint or spray paint? don tell me airbrush cause i'm not rich to get one of those... if spraying, u nid to do masking alr... mask all the parts which no nid paint then spray.. =) |

QUOTE(zheyuen @ Oct 19 2007, 11:28 PM) oh no...i dun think im gonaa paint my gundam but i sanded it =.=... one mre thing...i heard from ppl AFTER painting still need sand ? u dunwan paint is up 2 u.. if sand alr, the scratches not visible then ok la.. lol... after painting ppl dun sand unless the paint u dun like or screw up.. so ppl sand it to get rid of the paint then prime again then paint again.. QUOTE(VincC454 @ Oct 19 2007, 11:30 PM) aiseh... learn from pro de.. |
