They are actually very smart about taking profit from US equities from their ATH. According to every cycle analysis US been in a inflational growth and very overvalue. I agree with their decision on US reits, emerging market and China equities.  I am comfortable with managed portfolio tat make rebalance based on changes in macroeconomy instead of sticking to one etf then i might as well dca myself.
Perhaps you are the one who need to read more on the news, CPI, debts ratio, M3, 10 years treasury bond yields.

Be prepared for 2 quarters with VNQ giving good returns and EWA breaking 30 range again

36% this’s time will be even less volatile and lets see whether AGG performs better than BNdX

This time heavyweight lifting will be done by KWEB itself because any rises to 70 range easily 8% gain for the remaining 2021 returns

Wish they would have switch to IYR last month and the gains will offset ore oN KWEB kWeB rclxms.gif

I think this falls under '' risk of investment '' , have to expect these kind of drop.

I would have double down on portfolio with most kweb if they don't reoptimize..

China did that crack down, but I see the fundamentals of tech are unchanged, this crash could be momentarily.

That's why I was kinda disagree SA move to re opt, why sell when things are in the cheap ( I think re opt sell some to buy other etf, correct me if I'm wrong)

By all means I might be the fool here coming back to quote myself, glad SA rebalance my portfolio in the future. But for that we have to wait and see.

they only sold the very highly priced ETFs...

even with the KWEB meltdown.. i am still sitting at +20.59% time weighted returns from KWEB since i got in on day 1 of reoptimisation last year. so i am not sure how some people who claimed they got in on January 2020 and with a monthly DCA can get hit by the KWEB drop past 1-2 months.

Forum is for exchanging ideas and opinion and also information. If indeed you feel strongly about what you do, then more reason for you to feel strongly about sharing what you believe too, correct? Instead of shunning and attacking when others opinion do not align with yours.

Do it on somerhing you hv control in the directions of where it is going n how it plan to go...
Not by serious or excessive grumblings or demanding this or that, on things you hv no control in except EXIT.
Doing that would means you does not truly know what platform you had invested in
Abit of grumblings here n there are ok for "releases"

Well VNQ has high liquidity and lower expense ratio than IYR. But anyway real estate in States remains limited and sales increase 22% in june 2021 compared to last yr with increase median home price. Any china related etf I fully support their allocation as me myself buying some MCHI because prev i think their kweb allocation was too little for my 30% profile.

Internatinal bond is new thing for me. I think my previous profile do not hav tat at all or very little allocation. So im still trying to learn more about it. Mayb sifu can enlighten me about it.

i am abit worried for my US stocks because the latest 10 yr treasury yield goes down AGAIN. The whole market like a pressure cooker for me nw.

The bonds are acting as hedge. usually if treasury yield goes down bonds go up. we have international bonds? the bonds in 36% are mostly US bonds i think.

Yes you are right. 5

5.50% Emerging Markets
57.10% Europe
23.80% Pacific
0.40% Middle East
9.10% North America
4.10% Other

when the economic outlook is more certain and stable, usually bonds or real estate will be used as a hedge compared gold. which is why most of the gold sold. and also why some members complained the overall portfolio being too defensive. when in fact the defense had just shifted from gold majority to bonds and real estate (with some gold).

IYR has better growth compared to VNQ but still good choice for to cover some growth in each equities this round so it is quite balanced all round

MCHI and KWEB not really co related so a better comparison would CQQQ to KWEB

If you sell be prepared because it will take a day or 2 depending cut off time when you initiate the sell off

So plan wisely when you sell as you might even lose money when selling on a day like this where KWEB open at the bottom of 8% of the closing price the day before
