Why you all cancelling trip?

Malaysia 1-in-164,000 infected
Japan 1-in-172,000 infected

Malaysia higher infection rate than Japan, you are literally safer over there than over here.

Japan's coronavirus figures are likely already much higher than reported, with the infection rate suspected to be just the "tip of the iceberg," according to Masahiro Kami, the executive director of Japan's Medical Governance Research Institute, a non-profit group.

Japan's coronavirus infection rate could be 'tip of the iceberg' as experts call for more testing

Even if restrictions are lifted, do you want to take the risk?

if the Malaysia restrictions are lifted, i willing to. As i not sure why i have no feeling of worried at all kinda confusing. In my mind, i was like just have to stay precautions, practice hand sanitize during my trip to Osaka and Kyoto everything will be fine. Maybe I am too selfish or naive doh.gif sweat.gif

Are you willing to self quarantine after u come back from Japan?

Most importantly, do you live with your parents?

If you make sure to minimize contact with anyone on the way back and even with your Grab/taxi driver, and really don't go out from your home for 14 days, yeah I guess it is safe. Safe for Malaysia.

not sure whether JP gov will ban Malaysian though. but TBH, I felt a lot safer in JP than in MY, including both airport, flight. last Saturday, KIX was so empty you could literally count the number of guests, zero queue at every airline counters, even AAX counter have no queue and majority of the counter are free. security and immigration also have zero queue. for flight, basically u can have the whole row to yourself, plus the luxury of one row empty, one row sleep flat, one row empty incase you are worried about the person on the front or back sneezing/coughing.

however, Osaka is still quite crowded and a couple of ppl coughing here and there, wouldn't recommend traveling around there laugh.gif Kyoto on the other hand is almost void of tourist.

nope, all sold out, including hand sanitizer. even when they restock, I wouldn't want to go line up for an hour+ with a few hundred ppls, much riskier TBH.

I felt like Japan's government is underreporting the cases here because Abe wants to save his Olympic. The death rate is high in Japan but confirmed cases is low compared to S.Korea. Doesn’t seem right to me. You have to be very sick in order to get tested in Japan, unlike S.Korea where they test everyone even if you have mild symptoms.

Even if there is no one around your immediate area, do take note that air in airplane gets recirculated so if there is sufficient release of the virus from somewhere else on the plane it gets cycled back to everyone else onboard.

Airplane recirculated air system wont effect all passenger. Because it got air filter that had 1000 times thicker than your mask
