Airplane recirculated air system wont effect all passenger. Because it got air filter that had 1000 times thicker than your mask

Airplane system are meant to filter out particulates but not bacteria and viruses. You'll need medical level filtration for that

Maybe should add UV filtering also to kill bacteria & viruses

UV works well against germs and bacteria(not sure about viruses) on stationary surfaces, it isn't effective on moving objects like air or water unless it goes thru a UV light chamber. For such, it is done by releasing disinfectants into air/water. The reason why hospitals smells of Dettol. I highly doubt anyone would want to stay inside an airplane smelling Dettol for hours.

Covid not airborne (it spreads via droplets but not via aerosol) leh so no need to worry about catching it through the aircon.

So you can definitely catch it if some infected person sitting a few seats away from you who’s touching his face and then getting up to go toilet time touch all the seat backs and then later you also touch. But you can’t get it by someone in first class sneeze then the virus travel as an aerosol circulate into the aircon system and you sitting at the back of the plane breathe it in.

“In droplet form, the coronavirus is airborne for a few seconds after someone sneezes or coughs. It’s able to travel only a short distance before gravitational forces pull it down. Someone close enough for the virus particles to reach in that brief period can therefore be infected. So can anyone who comes into contact with virus-containing droplets that fall onto a surface. The new coronavirus can survive on surfaces for several hours; hence the importance of hand-washing after touching a surface in a public place.”

Researchers found the virus was detectable in aerosols for up to three hours, up to four hours on copper and up to 24 hours on cardboard.

if the Malaysia restrictions are lifted, i willing to. As i not sure why i have no feeling of worried at all kinda confusing. In my mind, i was like just have to stay precautions, practice hand sanitize during my trip to Osaka and Kyoto everything will be fine.  Maybe I am too selfish or naive doh.gif  sweat.gif

Before go self quarantine for 14 days, after come back self quarantine for 14 days

Including u cannot work for 14 day before u go and after u back

So u need in total 28 days of self quarantine

Otherwise dont risk spreading to japanese

Precaution will minimize the risk but not completely risk free

Dumb question regarding the 14 day quarantine rule.

If someone can back to Malaysia from oversea, does anyone know if that person just came back from oversea without looking at his passport?

Immigration know, so if someone unlucky kena from oversea the hospital might be able to check their record via immigration.

Employer.. depends on how strict is the company i guess

Plz remind that “person” to self quarantine 14days

I mean other than immigration.

If that person just arrived in KL today, then went back home. The next day roaming around the city, apart from immigration, no one knows he just came back from oversea.

In HK, they put a trackable wristband on the citizen who just came back from oversea so if found outside, they can catch

Lolz! HK is under China so they can do all these police state monitoring now. Try that 1 year ago when the protest happens for any small issues. Now everything is allowed and the world is hailing China's strict control methods. The irony.

My point is that in Malaysia, other than Immigration, no one knows if you did actually just come back from oversea and required to home quarantine by law for 14 days.

You know there are some stubborn Malaysians who don't like to follow rules (#stayathome). One example is this case I just saw. https://i.imgur.com/dNhvA1S.jpg

M'sians got plenty of aholes lah even experienced surgeon doctor is not immune to stupidity. But we aren't like China where no means no or else there could be political hell to pay and whatmore we can't just post police officer at every home to make sure they don't leave. The best is let Gomen extend 1 more week so these idiots will learn.

The reason why WHO is advicing social distancing as one of the preventive measures. Even without skin contact, there is a high possibility the virus can hang in the air. If this contaminated air gets circulated, unknown people could get infected, which is why they hypotesized 1 person could infect up to 3500.

Better just stay at home and take the time carefully plan vacation to Japan in next year. Japan will still be around in 2021. There is high chance Olympics might either be cancelled or postponed to 2021.

Postponed to an unknown date. Hopefully, the Games will still be ON eventually.
