Im of the opinion that one cant simply tamper with such important things like FAQs. Think about this, if their website is not heavily secured and have lots of vulnerabilities, outiside hackers can simply modify however they want.

It cant be "mistake", TM is just doing post-apocalyptic measures to placate people while keeping things shady and hoping things will subside.

Dont let them blame it on "glitch" and "system error". Even so, the IT individuals in charge are still accountable for the wrongdoing. Can alipay, paypal bank etc simply claim "system error", "glitch" and "bug" for failure in online monetary transaction? Who else shud be responsible then...
*
A "system glitch" would suggest that they have a highly sophisticated AI that created that FAQ #12 with a nice table after gathering all the inputs from their management and lawyers, I would totally be buying TM shares if that's the case. laugh.gif

It's done on their OWN FREE WILL, CONSCIOUSLY, there's MOTIVE for updating FAQs to Rm159 after 2 years and termination penalty to subs fee*remaining months.

Dont let them get away with one narrow escape after yet another like a sneaky snake, let things slip under table and let time fades and washes away what sinful deeds they committed all these while.

Shorting their shares might be a better way to go. Hehe. Oot.

Yes, your network should be okay. Try with wired connection to PC and try with Safe Mode with Networking. Could be your PC issue.

Thanks @SilentVampire for all the help. It was actually the Qos on my asus router. Not sure why, if I turn off the feature (which I previously using it without problem with 30mb), and reboot then I can get the full 300mb. If I turn it on and set the limit to 300mb down and 50mb up, my download will stay below 100mb. Still cant figure out why, theorically it should give all bandwidth when no other connection is using the internet, maybe the up and down too much diff. But I will just turn it off for now, and hopefully 300mb I wont have problem without it, with few devices in my house using the internet.

QOS will disable Cut-through Forwarding (other name NAT Boost, NAT acceleration, fast track, fast path).

if currently using unifi and area has no no more ports, to switch to maxis broadband what is the procedure?

becos worry that if terminate unifi, later port kena taken.

anyone has done the switch before when your area has no more ports while you already have unifi?

LMAO. Sure jan.gif
RIGHT! Because the front line staff also get their product updates from FAQ and T&C and not direct orders from higher up.

They just do testing lah, like the saying goes, "untung sabut timbul, untung batu tenggelam"

Well let's see how the answered the Minister then

For me we can just exercise our consumer power

If tak suka, tukar

Maxis is always there

When all of us potong and changed to Maxis then they will feel the pain

They don't feel it if we are bashing here or even Minister huu haa

At the end you get just a standard explanation to close the case
*
Bro, you know who is the king control for Maxis port or not? One area of unifi only can have certain percentage of port allocated for Maxis. Unless Time come to landed area, Maxis also cannot accommodate a lot of ppl switching due to infra sharing.

They surely cannot justify the glitch this time, as even their operator confirm the pricing on the FAQ.

Tell u what, like YoungMan pointed out, the moment they feel the "pain" is the moment tiang/pole license is revoked and emergence of alternative ISPs. That is the moment of rejoice and salvation.

You have to try and arrange maxis fibre installation the same day you terminate Unifi. Also your BTU will be retain for Maxis Fibre and there is a form from Maxis which you have to submit to TM. I think those who have gone through the experience can give better advice.

So, the issue is about Streamyx users. Supposed to give report next week. But already give report so soon. What could have been discussed or planned this fast? Nothing. Just take what has already been said and re-report it and say here is the response.

This is the usual answer just for the sake of answering, not actually addressing the issue. Everyone knows you cannot just replace copper with fibre infra as it takes time to do so. Everyone knows they have already said they will increase speed for Streamyx if possible. Everyone knows they will migrate Streamyx to Unifi if available.

Streamyx users mostly would have moved to Unifi if their area is covered. Even if not yet, they have the option to do so. Streamyx users would have upgraded their package if higher port speeds were available. Even if not, they have the option to do so.

The issue is for those who are not in Unifi area. The issue is for those who do not have higher speed ports. And mainly the issue is of Streamyx pricing which is high for the speed that is offered. The issue is Streamyx users wanting a reduction in price. 1M Streamyx cost RM110 while 100M Unifi costs RM129.

Not one word mentioned about pricing, which is the main issue.

It is hard to believe they don't understand what the users are asking for. It is hard to believe they are so ignorant. It is easier to believe that they are just brushing aside and ignoring what the real issue is on purpose. It is easier to believe they are taking users and the authorities on a ride on the super highway...

Really? Have you found out the reason from them? Because of your price they don't want to give 8M? Like the turbo 500M instead of 800M? Any idea what is the selection criteria?

Don't worry about this 2-year thingy. Take it first and newer better plans will come along.

Based on my history with TM, I have not stayed on any plan for more than two years though so far my discounts are perpetual.
*
yes..that's right. after 2 year, can more offer from tm. biggrin.gif biggrin.gif
