Same case when I ask my techinician...they say got no id or password for unifiplay tv...but they say TM will send it via email or sms...I got mine via sms a couple hour after they finish my installation.
*
If all else fail, just call 100 and request the ID.

QUOTE(fruitie @ Nov 3 2018, 08:43 PM)
Wow. You are so powerful, wanna get Tun M to fire Gobind.

Well, at least he did something to it. Else will you see 129 for 100Mbps? Will you see Turbo speeds? How about other ISPs? TIME, Maxis? Now tak boleh pakai lah? Bravo.

I didn't say he did a superb job but he DID something. We ought to acknowledge this part. Why didn't you all make noise during BN Minister's tenure?
*
Agree. Maxis also has RM89 without quota, and it is 30mbps down/up. No ISP has ever done this before the new minister came in. One more thing, people keep complaining about Maxis not good, when in fact they are using same infra as TM. THey should do the same like when they are in TM, report to MCMC and keep the ticket open until their problem solve.

QUOTE(JohnLai @ Nov 4 2018, 01:08 AM)
But the problem is the pricing on 500Mbps which was never revealed. Plus there are users paying RM179 for 300Mbps.

Official TM price from MCMC;
RM129 = 100Mbps
RM139 = 300Mbps
RM329 = 800Mbps
Neighbours insist wanna pay less by using that 25% discount crap from news. Let see what will happen after I informed them with the newspaper tomorrow. If they insists with their stance, then I shall downgrade and no longer share it with them. Very leceh one these guys. dry.gif
*
Easier way is to show them your bill. If agree then continue, not agree then get own line.
End of story.

My neighbours were really funny. whistling.gif

The moment I pointed out to them using thestar newspaper, they seem to be 'shocked'.

They asked a lot about maxis RM89 30Mbps and TM RM79 30Mbps. I had to explain to them on TM 60gb quota.

Then I said, "K lah, if you guys don't wanna share anymore, good luck on getting new port for your own fiber. Our district doesn't have vacant fibre port anymore"

Cue further explaination.....

Considering House A neighbours only pay RM50 each for current unifi 500Mbps for me......(what....sharing with total 4 houses including mine)......3 of my neighbours household 'representative' agreed to continue sharing....

This evening = will hold meeting with House B neighbours..... sweat.gif
*
QUOTE(JohnLai @ Nov 4 2018, 02:48 PM)
Those stuffs were done last year before I got lay off at beginning of year 2018  sad.gif ............

Plus, I don't spent much....LAN cable installation and neighbours' router = neighbours paid for it.

Technically, I only pay RM130 total per month for both unifi accounts + seedbox/vpn combo.

Jimat kan? brows.gif
*
Really jimat... If every house pay minimum RM50 then it's RM150 for 3 houses, so the balance you pay yourself. But put those seedbox etc aside, it's better to let them get own connection. Let them do however they like.

Btw forget to ask. Has anyone tried to terminate unifi and still keep the landline? either switch it back to copper or keep it on BTU. is that possible? Helping a colleague who is been transfer to another place but still want to keep the landline for parents use.

Haha, like this any lubang for me?
*
No need any lubang. Internet already fast enough so you know what to do.

QUOTE(solarmystic @ Nov 4 2018, 04:38 PM)
AFAIK, I think it's all or nothing when it comes to unifi's VOIP service. Terminating UNIFI will terminate the phone service too.

And in certain areas with extensive UNIFI coverage, TM is no longer laying down any new copper, so unless you requested not to cut the copper line before subscribing to UNIFI, I don't think you can ask them to restore it.

I could be wrong about this however, but that is what I was told for my area, which is T.T.D.I.

I think they will eventually want to migrate to an end to end all fiber network for all customers. Save a lot of cost that way, and don't have to worry about copper line theft.
*
It's fine without copper, if TM can just let use the BTU and fibre for phone. According to him the house also have copper wiring, terminated few years ago when subscribe unifi. The wiring remain intack until now so don't know if TM can use back or not.
The easier solution is to change unifi owner to parent, but that will be paying for something no one ever use when he's not around hence only the phone is needed.

QUOTE(JohnLai @ Nov 4 2018, 04:40 PM)
But there are still dumb thieves cutting off fibre cable thinking it is a copper cable.....  doh.gif
Happen frequently in Sarawak.
*
This I agree. Everything cable want to cut, but no knowledge what cable that is.

Go to TMPoint to upgrade it. Same price, only contract restart. Otherwise can also try to call 100 like someone said earlier.

How much are you paying currently for your 100mbps? Quite a few paying RM189 and below got upgraded to only 500mbps here.

Yes, that's good. All of us should do that and help other users. We should not let them get away with this unfair pricing. How nice would it have been if all users just went and switched to RM129 in large numbers.

Also, a reminder.

If you're in high-rise, try to get price reduction to RM119 30M or RM129 50M.

If you're Lite RM129 10M, switch to RM129 100M BEST.

If you're Lite RM129 10M and got turbo to 100M, request for STD20 as the 100M BEST has it.

Some will have to renew contract. Or look at options from Maxis and Time if available.

Added:
Not all users read 1st page. Not all users are on this forum. We should inform users out there through other means in case they are unaware of all this. No harm helping other users.
*
Not some. All who switch to the 129 package have to renew contract. This directly force them to stay for 2 years with TM.

Well if there is no viable alternative and you're a home owner then I  don't see any problem for a contract period.
I'm a homeowner but others situation may differ.
For me, I would be happy to pay less upfront and get a modest speed bump. Not worry about the contract because TM agents will always want to entice customers by offering special pricing.
*
I agree if there is no viable alternative but TM. However some area may have Time coming in as they expand. So the final choice is on the user.

*
Keep us updated whether or not you successfully request for free STD after turbo, or do they require you to change package and sign another 2 years contract.

Can you clarify? You seem to be asking for STD20 insted of turbo. YoungMan seems to be asking for STD20 after turbo.

What package are you both referring to?
*
I was referring to getting the STD 20 after turbo, since a lot of UniFi lite subscriber paying RM129 without the free calls. Therefore upon turbo the free calls are not included unless customer go and change to the new 100mb package.

All routers provided by UniFI will have the @unifi SSID. Buy your own router and set up.

This is why I posted earlier saying Unifi Lite 10M who got turbo to 100M should request for it. Some time back someone posted they managed to do so. Now  What they will tell you is switch to 100M BEST where you'll get the STD20 also. Actually its just the same if they just add the STD20 when they turbo as the price is the same. They just won't do such things automatically.
*
It's their strategy to get contract renewal so that they got to keep you for another 2 years.

Have been thinking to change my parent unifi plan ever since the price was reduce. But afraid of suddenly another price reduction again, then it will be fool being lock under contract again...

My parent's account is contract free for few years ady, and basically their unifi is for 3rd party iptv and some fb, youtube, wechat, whatsapp only...
*
In that case might as well use Maxis RM89 for 30mbps unlimited. Waiting for TM, there is no uncertainty that newer lower priceing will be coming. It may, it may not come.

QUOTE(amirul hafizz @ Nov 8 2018, 10:51 PM)
i just want to share my coversation with TM live chat today. i am 50mbps RM89 and ultimate pack. RM89+60=RM149 without std20. if i can removed ultimate pack forever, i saving more money. biggrin.gif  biggrin.gif  biggrin.gif
*
Impossible. If TM allow it, most people will be removing their TV pack.

QUOTE(KKW @ Nov 9 2018, 11:58 AM)
Update on my wrongly upgrade package. Today I received a sms from TM

RM0.00 Msg frm TM:Dear Sir/Madam,we have escalate your complaint to respective team and found that in order to Turbo Speed Upgrade 2018, the team need to maintain the amount that you have to pay. Hence, the only available highest turbo speed that match the discount that customer could have is 500Mbps.Tq

First they give us discount, now they wanna limit the upgrade speed.
*
Maybe it's their quest to standardise pricing now, and people will be upgraded to their nearest pricing package. Let's just hope there is no more 1001 pricing mechanism for their UniFI.

My 30Mbps is only showing 10Mbps on speedcheck...TM added Ultimate pack without my consent to bump up the price to RM220 and 12month contract...Can they add services without asking you? Anyone noticed this?
*
You should report to MCMC and demand they compensate you from the date they change your pricing.

QUOTE(solsekuin44 @ Nov 17 2018, 03:29 PM)
Wow, I just found out that you can change your turbo plan to a standard RM129 100Mbps online!
Been busy and I didn't login in to my Unifi account or read this thread.
*
I do not see that option in my online portal though.

QUOTE(pokchik @ Nov 17 2018, 04:15 PM)
Shit, RM129 become RM159 after 24mths.

TM penipu scammer.

I got conned.
*
I will see if there is any good offer coming after 2 years, otherwise switch to Maxis RM129. I hope Maxis do not play shit like this.

QUOTE(mylinear @ Nov 17 2018, 04:25 PM)
Just goes to show you that they can do something if they want to. Or at least if they plan it well from the start.

Previously, in the customer portal, this was not there.

In the dashboard section, next to the package name and "Active", there is the "..." dropdown menu. Now You shold see
- Change my plan
- Terminate my plan

For termination, we should feel sorry for them...
"So sad that you are leaving. We hope you’ll change your mind"

For plan change, looks like they have listed both new plans RM79 and RM129. Last time, only plans with higher price than yours was there I think.

Can someone with 800M turbo see what they have listed?

Can someone in high-rise see what they have listed?
*
Can this be done using the app?

*
So those who already paid extra RM30 for ultimate pack and STB, will become RM189 after 2 years? Otherwise they better give STB and ultimate pack to all subscribers of 100mbps.

Well let's see how the answered the Minister then

For me we can just exercise our consumer power

If tak suka, tukar

Maxis is always there

When all of us potong and changed to Maxis then they will feel the pain

They don't feel it if we are bashing here or even Minister huu haa

At the end you get just a standard explanation to close the case
*
Bro, you know who is the king control for Maxis port or not? One area of unifi only can have certain percentage of port allocated for Maxis. Unless Time come to landed area, Maxis also cannot accommodate a lot of ppl switching due to infra sharing.

QUOTE(ThornsFC @ Nov 17 2018, 08:48 PM)
A "system glitch" would suggest that they have a highly sophisticated AI that created that FAQ #12 with a nice table after gathering all the inputs from their management and lawyers, I would totally be buying TM shares if that's the case.  laugh.gif
*
They surely cannot justify the glitch this time, as even their operator confirm the pricing on the FAQ.

if currently using unifi and area has no no more ports, to switch to maxis broadband what is the procedure?

becos worry that if terminate unifi, later port kena taken.

anyone has done the switch before when your area has no more ports while you already have unifi?
*
You have to try and arrange maxis fibre installation the same day you terminate Unifi. Also your BTU will be retain for Maxis Fibre and there is a form from Maxis which you have to submit to TM. I think those who have gone through the experience can give better advice.

IS TM CHEATING SPEED TEST?

Uncle, try to make sure that the limit is not cause by the site you are downloading from. Some free hosting does limit free download at a certain speed.

Sorry for taking the shortcut but I was getting cockeyed going through the thread.

Anyway, am supposed to get turbo-ed to 800 but not happening yet. I am looking into getting a good router to support.

Also, is it possible to terminate the hypptv subscription? I’ve never used the STB. If possible, I will really like to terminate the Ruby package to cut rm30 per month. Not on any contract for both unifi and hypptv for the past 2 years.

Also, does the attached ONU (is it also called the BTU???) supports 800Mbps?  If not, will TM change it without contract? If need to get contracted then I will want TM to change all the peripherals - dect phone, btu, router - since it will be like applying for new anyway.
*
As for router suggestion, it is available on post #1. HyppTv is a must and no way to cancel it.
