QUOTE(optimus9333 @ Nov 16 2018, 05:33 PM) Hi guys, Wan to ask, was planning to downgrade from 500mb to 100mb RM129 but then call 100 the CS said that the RM 129 price only during 2 years contract later become RM159, is this true? Also if downgrade to 100mb package can still watch hypptv using STB or have to use app only? thanks in advance This would be against what was mandated by the new govt. Wondering whether this bait-and-switch applies to users who have already downgraded to the RM129 plan, anyone else heard of this before today?

Asked TM CS and they told me my 30mbps package (turbo 300mbps) that was upgraded this year will stay at the same price after 24 months. My package details include: - Promo Discount RM60 - Promo Discount 24 Months

QUOTE(mylinear @ Nov 17 2018, 04:17 PM) The increase in price as in the FAQ applies to the new RM129 100M, not other packages. That's hard to say, it's TM, had to get things clarified. I think people who are still on old plans with relatively "low" prices and those who are planning to subscribe should stay away from this RM129 plan for now, let this news spread for a while and wait for actions to be taken. Feel sorry for those who are paying ridiculous prices because they are now left with no other options. For those who subscribed to the RM129 plan BEFORE the changes in FAQ should ask CS about it, file report if they tell you the price increase applies to your plan.

https://twitter.com/myTMgroup/status/1063734627607539712LMAO. Sure jan.gif RIGHT! Because the front line staff also get their product updates from FAQ and T&C and not direct orders from higher up.

QUOTE(coolguy_0925 @ Nov 17 2018, 06:12 PM) Well at least for this time they acted fast enough Mistake happens just give them a chance for unharmful error like this Cheers! Can't be an "error" when people were told the same thing from various official sources. Sometimes I can't help but wonder if some of you are employees or own shares of TM. First of all, this is not a fan club and we don't have to be nice to them as consumers to begin with, especially not when they are still practicing anti-competition tactics when they should've just adjusted the price for existing customers or give us lower price options without additional contract period.

QUOTE(coolguy_0925 @ Nov 17 2018, 06:28 PM) I have no interest at TM other than being a normal consumer like everyone here I am just speaking from the shoe of a normal employee as I do make mistakes in my job too You're missing the point, I don't think anyone is blaming the employees here, and they did not make mistake if they were just following orders. This was a conscious decision made by TM as a corporation to screw their customers, save your empathy for something else.

QUOTE(dickybird @ Nov 17 2018, 06:46 PM) Malaysians can be a soft hearted lot. That's why we haven't lynched najis yet. This is kinda true in this forum, all the "[insert product] fan club" thread titles are another sign of the same problem, we must change our attitude, always remember we are the consumers. Twitter is a whole another world tho, just look at the mentions. lol

QUOTE(imalmighty @ Nov 17 2018, 07:29 PM) Im of the opinion that one cant simply tamper with such important things like FAQs. Think about this, if their website is not heavily secured and have lots of vulnerabilities, outiside hackers can simply modify however they want. It cant be "mistake", TM is just doing post-apocalyptic measures to placate people while keeping things shady and hoping things will subside. Dont let them blame it on "glitch" and "system error". Even so, the IT individuals in charge are still accountable for the wrongdoing. Can alipay, paypal bank etc simply claim "system error", "glitch" and "bug" for failure in online monetary transaction? Who else shud be responsible then... A "system glitch" would suggest that they have a highly sophisticated AI that created that FAQ #12 with a nice table after gathering all the inputs from their management and lawyers, I would totally be buying TM shares if that's the case.
