Owner of the unit refused to contact CS on this matter even though I offer to install an Asus wifi 6 router for all FOC lol

I'm just about to sign up for Time 500 mbps package.

Currently the time package provides 1 router + 1 free mesh.

I was just curious, if i have a 2 storey 1500 sq ft house what would be the best recommendation for the setup?

1) Is the default HG8145x6 Time modem / router + free mesh sufficient to maximize the benefit of the 500mbps speed for 2 storey house

2) If default router is not sufficient, would you have any router + mesh system recomendation? Was looking at the TP Link Deco M5, but not sure if there is any better equipment.


3) Also, does anyone have experience using this with a powerline extender instead of using hard cable?

if you had access to the superadmin credentials you could login and change it
but its mentioned that they're not allowed to reveal it, so contacting them to remotely change it for you is basically the only way

I have another Asus AC router as AP across two walls connected with Cat5e cable and it also tested at above 100Mbps, NP.

planning to replace my HG8145V5 wifi with tplink AX20. the router is giving random disconnection now. would AX20 do any good?

I read that if I sign up the 500Mbps promo for RM99 for first 6 months, i can downgrade to 100Mbps (RM99) by extending the contract + 24 months again.
But enjoy the free devices Huawei HG8145x6 x 2 units

I replaced mine with AX73 before. But I experienced a random disconnection issue
Changed to Asus and no prob so far

That is my plan. Get the 500mbps, after 6 month downgrade.

Next month will have time installer to come and set it up. Hopefully the mesh able to cater 2 walls signal degradation. Currently my AX73 able to connect, just at the extreme corner it unable to connect at all.

that means TIME allows downgrade of package... will they take back the device ?

Hi guys im using HG8145V5 + Tp-link C1200, anyone has experience to get the port forward works on port 80 ?

I did all the setup ipv4 port mapping to set port 80 to my desktop and https://www.yougetsignal.com/tools/open-ports/ port still closed.
