Hello everyone!

Just got Time internet installed yesterday. I seem to have the HG8145X6 modem/router installed. The wifi coverage doesn't really do well with the inner walls.

How do i use my own router? My previous setup was HG8240H5(unifi) + DIR885L.

Can i just get the PPOE credentials of my Time account and use it on the old modem?

Contact TIME to change your HG8145X6 from combo mode into just modem/ont mode
then just plug in your dlink router and enter PPPoE credentials.

I just upgraded from 100mbps unifi to 500mbps time with free mesh.. previously using Tenda MW3 mesh router 2 unit..my whole house got stable 100mbps..

But with time huawei mesh router, placed at exact spot i put my tenda mesh.. it cannot even get 100mbps, not to say 500mbps.. is the huawei mesh just not as powerful? What is the good upgrade to ensure i get a steady 500mbps in whole house?

My house just a 1000sqft condo..

1) what equipment given besides the HG8145X6 ?
2) Your house layout plan.

* Note : DIR885L though not WiFi6, but its signal strength is far more powerful.

Any chance TIME will introduce 2Gbps package over the next 12 months?

would like to ask if I can do short term relocation for like 3 months and then back to the original location?

i'm supposed i just need to pay for relocation charges twice, right? anything else that i should take note of?

does the time voice home package provide physical phone ? or is it only through smart phone ?

wire ok, but wireless is very weak even just nearby the router

i wonder..is it because the installer use the WA8021V5 as wifi repeater due to keep the existing wifi user id & password?

Forget about the diagnostic tools, test the wifi signal strength with your phone wireless indicator or simply download some wireless diagnostic apps to test the wifi signal (-xx.xdBm).
If you are only given a Huawei X6, then you can hook up your Router as AP.

Hi, no more physical phone set given, anyway, you can anytime plug in your own phone set.
Alternatively you can install TIME Voice apps in your smart phone & use that.

Each time of outdoor relocation will be charged RM120.
Dismantle & bring all your devices to the new premise and SI will be contacting you for Installation.

We Cannot ask to change? If there is any options to choose from?

after unclick dual band combination
now i have 2 wifi userid and speedtest up to my expecatation

Means TIME provided modem & mesh is ok

But how come they dont setup like this at the first place? 😁

This was my default setup. Depends on technician I guess. Maybe an oversight.
