What if i'm still under contract and move to other apartment that don't have TIME coverage? Will TIME charge me RM500 penalty? Thanks.

QUOTE(Rexoz @ Oct 14 2018, 12:12 AM)
Hi guys,

Im on 500mbps plan and seeking suggestions on the right router since the plans have been upgraded.

Im using ASUS RT-N56U and my max speed is at 160mbps at most on my Android and my pc/iphone in my room max 60 mbps. On top of that im using 2 powerlines as the the wifi is very weak.

Hence, I need to upgrade my router to a better one and keen on Asus or perhaps a mesh wifi. If i do purchase a better router, do i need to search for cat 6 copper cable separately as the cables provided with router is not cat 6?

Thanks all
*
How's the performance for the powerline?

How fast is the speed ? I know expensive routers are the way to go but I have many walls in my home so even the most expensive wireless router will not give me the speeds I desire at the rooms located far away from the router. I'm using the Tenda AC 15 router - was good before - now with the 500 Mbps speed I can't achieve the published speed unless I'm very close to the router when on 5Ghz.

I suggest mesh wifi instead of powerline.

If it doesn't involve running cables then I'm ok - but need to figure out how it works for some places with no power adapter where I want to locate the module for the mesh wifi...

Just leave IPv6 disabled. You don’t really need it.

I have been upgraded to 1Gbps and currently using Asus RT-AC68U. Even using wired, I am getting only 500Mbps. I was expecting around 700-800Mbps surely?

Hi bro, could you please let me know how you reconfigure your rOuter? Just reset to factory default settings and after that do we need to manually input user id or what for TIME settings? Thanks in advance

Hi. Which router that you're currently using?

You need to get the PPPoE details ready.
After you factory reset you need to key in your PPPoE details.

For example, ID: XXXX@timebb
I can guide you with the configuration.

Thanks.

The PPPoE details is written in your work completion form.

EDIT: You may get the PPPoE Password by using Inspect Element.
I may guide you.

Thanks

I'm using the same router AC1200, you should be able to get the PPPOE username and password as per screenshot below. Router login URL and credential should be under your router.
