Anyone here using 500mbps while staying alone? I am using 100mbps now thinking of an upgrade.
And also if I upgrade to 500mbps now am I entitled for the RM10x24months rebate?

100mbps should be more than enough for single user. Why wanna upgrade?

500mbps for a single user is overkill, I think.

I have 3 people in my household and all 3 are heavy users of video streaming services. 100mbps is too little bandwidth based on my router's stats. 500mbps gives the extra headroom I need.

Hi, one of the obvious reason is putting the HG8145V5 in the Soho box does not make sense as usually the Soho will be situated in secluded corner of the house which makes the wifi coverage not efficient.

Hi, All sifu here. I intend upgrade from 100Mbps to 300Mbps (promo via self portal, added RM10/month). Can any experiencer REALLY can get almost 300mbps after upgrading? Can share your experience here? FYI, my current 100mbps package frequently can get 100-120mbps.

2nd, my current router is EC230. May I request remain my current router after upgrading 300mbps (after reviewing previous comments, most of sifu here mentioned EC230 much better than Huawei WA8021V5 and main reason I can get good wifi in my house any bedroom too, so no point to change to WA8021V5)? Just need inform TIME installer when they come to my house later?

Why not? No infra limitation since TIME is all fiber. They just have to upgrade the setting on their side, then ur speed will become 300Mbps just like that

Depends on your usage..my house only 2 ppl..and i'm getting 500mbps

100 to 300 is a very significant update especially you have more family members.

I think 500Mbps is the maximum speed where most people can enjoy easily on wireless.

Once it's over 500Mbps, it's really irrelevant as even the top of the line WiFi 6 router can't provide more than 500Mbps reliably after one wall or two.

The highest usage IPTV, 2 mobile phones, 2 laptops for working and study. Still ok but add rm10 for 300mbps quite tempting

recently i moved from PJ back to KL, and in KL, the time server speedtest ping is always high. back in PJ, my speedtest to TIME server is only 1ms to 2ms.

but in KL, i am getting 15ms~18ms.

i checked with neighbour, apparently they are getting like 8ms?

i tried to complain to time and they told me, since its lower than 20ms, its normal.

wondering how many ms you guys get from speedtest to time server.
