But I am not allowed to drill any hole (tenancy agreement) at the unit. Can I request the fiber optic to go through the gap at the bottom of the main door? the door gap here is about 6mm, would install cable trunking to protect it..

So far i have had no issue for more than 4 years.

Guys, question im using Asus RT-AC86U for the router and for my pc wifi adapter using Tplink Archer T9E.

I am only able to get a wifi speed of 400MBPS-450MBPS. Router is just beside the computer. If i use my iphone I am able to get up to 600MBP currently subscribe to 1GBPS. Is it normal for my pc to only get up to 400-450MBPS, I havent tried using cable yet.

Could it be your HDD bottleneck? Avg hdd throughput around 50MB/s, which is around 400Mbps. Try testing with a PC with SSD.

no wonder, if use ssd can get more speed. I use hdd only can get about 32MB/s only

Your landlord don't allow? Maybe talk to him. You are not simply drilling anyhoies. One the cable is laid, future user of the place can use also. Anyway, the installer does a very good job, after drill, cover nicely at the corner. Put some paint on it and you won't notice unless you stare into the corner.

As you have VDSL infrastructure or copper phone line in apartment, installer will follow that same phone truncking to pull fiber in premise.

Yes you can request for that by understanding the risk of using this method.

Say, i want to ask. Is there beamforming in the tplink AC1900? How do i enable this? Do i need to enable beamforming in my devices too to take advantage of it?

Speed got upgraded to 500Mbps, but still speed stuck at 100 or 120mbps only.

Upgrade ur T9E. it is not 4x4 mu-mimo so theorethically 450mbps is the max u can get (33% of total 1300mbps for 5ghz)

Didnt get a response from Time FB messenger so I thought I will ask here.

I’m an existing (still under contract, 1 last month remaining) user for Time which has just been upgraded the speed from 100 to 500. So when I login to Selfcare page, I can see that I’m able to redeem a free router - TP-Link AC1200 but will have a contract renewal of 2 years. So my question is can I get the DLink router DIR-882 instead? I can top up the difference.
