QUOTE(x-1o8-x @ Oct 7 2018, 11:42 PM) those of you on 500mbps/1gbps but still getting 100mbps up/down on wired, make sure your network adapter is configured to 1gbps also if you're on cat6 cable and you cant enable 1gbps on your network settings, make sure you plugged the cable properly. sometimes the port might be a master or slave and so you will have to plug the cable accordingly. wifi also giving around that speed bro...

QUOTE(HarrionX @ Oct 10 2018, 12:23 AM) Speed got upgraded to 500Mbps, but still speed stuck at 100 or 120mbps only. Thinking to downgrade. It stated if downgrade within contract , "12/24 months contract reset" Does that mean if I left 2 more month to contract end, then I downgrade, it will reset become 24 months back? thats right. not worth to pay high, while speed suffers to break 150mbps number. better to pay less for 100mbps. (which is good enough for most users)

QUOTE(D-Zire @ Oct 10 2018, 11:39 AM) Didnt get a response from Time FB messenger so I thought I will ask here. I’m an existing (still under contract, 1 last month remaining) user for Time which has just been upgraded the speed from 100 to 500. So when I login to Selfcare page, I can see that I’m able to redeem a free router - TP-Link AC1200 but will have a contract renewal of 2 years. So my question is can I get the DLink router DIR-882 instead? I can top up the difference. i would suggest, better get a router yourself. one good performing router is what you need.

QUOTE(nicholasmark @ Oct 15 2018, 03:24 PM) Have you restart your modem & router? I had to reboot like 3-4 times from the point of upgrading to get the advertised speed. (switch it off for few mins, cables off and back on) Somehow it worked for me. For some reason, my ethernet port was also set at 100mbps which I cannot recall, had to adjust it back to to Auto at device manager. did everything... even technician came...still cannot solve the issue!

QUOTE(vincent_ng86 @ Nov 4 2019, 07:08 PM) Same here - on a wired connection to the router provided by Time and is the first in my condo to activate the line. Not sure if there is hardware limitation. guess can be many factors, including the signal to noise of the optical signal too.

QUOTE(kmrdeva @ Apr 30 2020, 12:25 PM) Maybe no choice for you but to change to another ISP if the issues cannot be resolved. I've been on Time since end-2013. Have been getting the speed I've paid for, generally speaking. [attachmentid=10479277] More than 2 years on TIME, never had really frustrating (extremely low throughput, high latency) moments. Rarely get intermittent connections, but thats ok (all ISP has issues). In Malaysia, no ISP is perfect. You can only judge based on how better they are from other ISPs. You cant judge them based on your expectations. Coming from TM Unifi, im much much happier with TIME. Both based on speed and getting what im paying for.
