Think you have to live chat them and ask.

Hi guys, wondering if anyone could help me.

I installed 2GBps package with time and they provided me with Huawei OptixStar HN8245X6s XGS-Pon Terminal to be used as router modem.

But since I already have an ASUS AiMesh setup with 98BE and a couple BQ16s I told the installer to put the Huawei in bridge mode and I want to use the 98BE as my modem router but the installer claimed that for 2GBps Huawei device provided thus was not possible.

So I had to use the automatically receive IP settings in the WAN page of my 98BE but this is obviously not ideal because it will cause remote connection into my house network issues especially since I use wire guard vpn.

Any ideas how to overcome this?

Thanks!

I’m looking to subscribe TIME internet for 600mbps. I checked TIME official site having this first 6 months promo. Out of curiosity, I also checked facebook for those dealer promo, and they are also having the same 6 months promo and also some additional cash back or free electronics appliance as gift. Is it too good to be true?

previous contract rm20 off per month expiring soon, called them to renew, they said the only available renew offer now is rm10 off per month for 12 months contract, is this the best offer? or retention team offers something better?

Same. Just checked on self care. Promo is valid from 8 Aug 2024 to 30 June 2025. What are they planning in July? Later take the promo but then not applicable for speed upgrade etc.

First time Time user here, just wonder how do I modify the DNS settings in the router? Can't seem to find the setting for it. Currently it comes with Huawei HG8145B7N

It can be done via the SI, but sometimes they are not good in this config, so alternatively you may call the Customer Service & request for that.

It seems TIME is finally fixed the routing issue to China. Now, my MiHome app can control all my Mi devices in realtime.

Or Mi server has been expanded? Haha.

Morning all, I recently subscribed to TIME for my new home. I have renovated it in such that I have relocated my fibre wall socket to within a tiny utility room just after my entrance. I pulled Cat6 cable to the ceiling of a passageway to the rooms for POE convenience.

Does anyone have any experience setting up an ASUS AX3000 Dual-Band WiFi 6 Power over Ethernet (PoE)? I tried configuring it via the Asus Expert Wifi app and though it shows successful, I can't connect to the created SSID.

I reached out to TIME and they say in order to use a 3rd party router, I have to set this ASUS router to bridge mode. But I can't seem to find this setting. If anyone has any input or experience with this, appreciate some assistance, even a home visit which I'll gladly pay a token for your time.

Coz right now, my master room/bath do not get signal from the TIME modem cum router in the utility room. And other rooms signal is poor. I need the ASUS to at least be an AP at the designated location.

You need to set the TIME unit in bridge mode. You can call TIME to ask them to do it or ask them through Live Chat.
Then obtain PPPoE username and password from TIME Self care. Set up Asus router with it, no ISP/VLAN profile needed.

And what’s the Asus unit? “ASUS AX3000 Dual-Band WiFi 6 Power over Ethernet (PoE)” doesn’t tell much. Need the model number. Since it has PoE, it doesn’t seem like it’ll be a router, but only an access point. I have no experience with their AP, but the general setup is what you’ve done and connecting the AP to the main router. Making sure it has obtained an IP from main router.

If it’s an AP, then no need for bridge mode on TIME unit

I guess there's some confusion here

Sounds like you want to use both the TIME combo modem router and ASUS router at the same time

Bridge mode is only used when you want to turn the TIME combo modem router into a modem only so you can use your own router, doing so will disable wireless function on the TIME router

In this case, it means you should not change the TIME combo modem router into bridge mode

In this case, just reset your ASUS EBA63 then setup into access point mode and it should work properly

ASUS ExpertWiFi EBA63 ... didn't realise I did not put the model there.

I will try connecting via desktop router.asus.com to get a connection to the unit. Somehow on the ASUS Expertwifi app, it may have limited settings that I can see.

Initially, I did thought of using both combo and the router at the same time. Whichever works that I can get signal to the furthest rooms.

Noted on the bridge mode. I was looking high and low for the operation mode. See it, and it shows router mode. But doesn't allow me to change.

I generally understood all the shared information. I am grateful for the sharing and hope to try it tonight to get it to work. Thanks notworthy.gif
