No LOS light. Selfcare diagnostic reported it being fine. So don’t think it’s damaged fibre from here to their OLT. Edit: Upon checking the fibre reading, it’s even better??? From the usual -18.01dbm to currently -13.81dbm Edit2: Looking at ONT log, they did something at 1:01am. It changed my bridge wan to route wan. My friend in the same area had reported 10s of lag while playing game last night, assuming it was that. Upon changing it back to bridge wan, I’m connected again. Seems like upgrading equipment for 2Gbps maybe This post has been edited by ChenKaiWen: May 28 2024, 10:31 AM

QUOTE(blacktubi @ May 27 2024, 11:24 PM) Probably my last 1Gbps speedtest on TIME. Well, it was fun while it lasts. Credits to jjj2 as probably the best TIME agent/installer around. Come back whenever you like

Hi. I have 1gbps time connection with the default routers, huawei x6, two units in mesh. I was wondering can I connect both units with an ethernet cable to get wired backhaul? Is there anyone who has done this before? What is your process and what are your results compared to wireless backhaul?

The given ones are simply craps !

QUOTE(blacktubi @ May 22 2024, 11:50 PM) Bandwidth is expensive and TIME do not provide any SLA for international routing. Should this affect our decision of choosing TIME over unifi?

QUOTE(fila97 @ May 28 2024, 08:14 PM) Should this affect our decision of choosing TIME over unifi? Just get the cheapest telco, if TIME is the cheapest for you, just go for it. TIME used to provide a superior connectivity, other telco has caught up. There’s pros and cons on every telco when it comes to routing and international connectivity. However if you want 2Gbps, I’ll only recommend TIME for now. Their 2Gbps plan is delivered on a totally new XGPON infrastructure that’s way more robust and reliable than GPON. In fact TIME 2Gbps XGPON users even got their own fiber split at the condo.

anyone facing frequent disconnections when connecting to VPN then using SAP? It is driving me crazy when working for home. Seriously regret extending my contract till October just for that 1 unit of free Mesh. I'm using Zscaler VPN. Restarting modem + contacting their helpline didn't solve the issue. Might need to keep complain to them before things can improve This post has been edited by Davidtcf: May 29 2024, 04:05 PM

QUOTE(jjj2 @ May 29 2024, 04:07 PM) Same thing happened to couple of big bosses.... hmm what do u mean? got people shared in this thread with same issue before? other VPN affected? only Zscaler ah. Really not worth the cheaper price if you can't do your work at SAP. It is as if micro disconnects keep happening causing it. Play games, stream, etc all ok.. just this part pissing me off.

for any future reference, i contacted time again this morning
the technician confirms that i requested to bridge mode yesterday.
he tries again but fail to change to bridge mode, will forward to escalation team.
after around 1 hour a gal called me (sounds like she knows what she is doing, reminded me to plug my router into eth1 of onu) and internet went down right after the call. pppoe dailing from router successfully connects to the internet. i think the vlan 499 is done inside the onu right now.

Yes. No vlan is required when you use bridge mode..
