Updated this list. Most 800 routers can do 1G anyways.

Thanks. So there is no mesh system that can do full gigabit over wifi?

Actually there are many routers have bottleneck around 800 Mbps, their max is around 800-900 Mbps, cannot assume 800 Mbps routers also support 1000 Mbps

One example from my customer with TIME 1Gbps:

Then we need a definitive list of routers that can achieve practical speeds of 1gigabit or as close as possible.

Hi everyone I just checked under myselfservice portal and found that im still being applied for the 100mbps package. Anyone having same fate similar to mine? My friends whom subscribed TIME later than me got upgraded to 500mbps. Any reason the upgrade was not applicable for me?

Did you recieve the email saying you were upgraded? They are still rolling out until October 15th. So maybe not your time yet.

The ethernet port can only support 1Gb (theoretical max). So with the overheads in the TCP packets, you can never get full 1gbps. Theroretical max is around 950mbps with overheads (wired speed).

Of course I'm not expecting the full 1Gb. I'm just saying I want the same kinds of speed achieved over wifi as wired. Or at least over 900 on wifi.

Yes the real life reachable speed is around 930-940 Mbps, I think we can make a list of models that can reach more than 900 Mbps

Much appreciated.

So my 12 month period is up in November. Only then can I get the new router by updating the contract? Anyway time would give free router before then? Was at 300mbps package and now at 1gbps.

So I'm looking to maybe move. One thing I am looking at is Time available places. What if the building has business broadband coverage? Will I be able to get my home fiber in such a place?

Hi. I just got upgraded to 2 X6 units. 1 acting as modem/router and the other a mesh unit. All is well but currently it's wireless backhaul. If i want to run a network cable to do wired backhaul is there any settings I need to change? Or simply just connect the 2 units? Thank you.

Hi. I have 1gbps time connection with the default routers, huawei x6, two units in mesh. I was wondering can I connect both units with an ethernet cable to get wired backhaul? Is there anyone who has done this before? What is your process and what are your results compared to wireless backhaul?
